Resurected RFA

Been a While that i seen this forum and thought it would be timer to continue my work here

So yeah im back what have i done in the meanwhile well not much was bussy gettting my drivers licence

 

Real Flying Action Mod

 

some of you might remember it

 

im alone ATM but ill see what i can do

 

• The idea

having actual planes in gta IV

 

• The goal

To fill the gta IV realm with planes you cna steal and fly around the city

Lear2 10 % just started ( seen at TBOGT ending ) couldnt import the wdr so guess what tounge.gif re apply textures etc

747 0 % only extracted the model

 

 

so this is where im at atm hope i can coontinue my work in a better way then i did before

As soon as someone figures out how to add Yaw Axis to the game, then i will download the RFA mod again.

Until then i will just observe and comment smile.gif

Because i can assure you that Aerodynamics can not work independently like that in real life let alone a game. Did you think about when it comes to landing? Sure i know how to land without using Yaw Axis and it is indeed possible no doubt about it, but it does help for when you need it for final adjustments when coming in for landing or taking off. Also you can't turn on the runway without Yaw Axis either.

that indeed is true but i can asure you i can make a perfect landing without yaw if it wasnt for the stupid ass planes on the runway ( if you remember the movie of the learjet tounge.gif )

 

I Agree that the only reason i would need yaw is for takeoff cause using airbreak just to get your plane just right isnt the perfect way

needed to retexture everything cause of exporting etc it lost everything

 

 

well fixed trhe texture stuff now going ito the process of rigging the plane so it works in gta as a vehicle

just import the wdr edit the model so the game reconizes it as a vehicle and then export to wft  so i need to split the model and add collision etc

I am working on the semi trailers that are in game and trying to make them work with the tow truck mod, unfortunately it only supports v 1.0.3.0 sad.gif.

Tip: Make a dummy Called Misc_a and put that misc_a_L0 and the L1 And [COL] in there for starters ( make a simple 4 ponit box for the col

Yeah if you have a look at one of the other pics, you see in my hierarchy that i renamed it to extra_2 instead of misc_a.

It uses it's own collisions which is not just a box, it is actually 2 legs smile.gif

keep in mind that the collision is always rounded op cause the game doenst see the shape just the point and connects all the point with each other that will form ingame your collision to go around this little trick make more then one "chassis [COL]" one for each

 

For example my plane has one cigar shaped for the chassis a triangle shaped for the wings also another triagle for the tail sides a loos on for the top of the tail and another cigar for the engine

 

 

 

Edit : BTW almost done with rigging the model now still need to do the textures hirrachy etc

was hard splitting the inside form the outside

I am so trying this out on EFLC.

The height limit is much greater than that of 'IV' which give it that more sense of realism if you were using this mod in SP, going far out to the sea and then coming back to the airport giving you enough time to land.

Good work, but you should really fix the [COL] issue, which i am sure you will do smile.gif

 

Also, could you please reduce the image size to reduce the page stretch?

good progress... !

 

-could you do it that you dont need to screw arround at the begining to start the plane ?

without the trainer so that it could work automatically ?

 

-there is a mod out there where you can move the spoiler for example of a car .. could you tweak it that you can put the landing gear in ?

 

 

-and also is there a sound ? if not could you somehow create one ?

course ill see what i can do first i want all of my planes to work well then ill start working on sound and extra parts moving.

 

also these wont replace vehicles eventually these will be placed seperatly and also will spawn on certain locations atleast thats the plan and i wil be addin g some extra helicopters to like the carying chopper you never get to fly in bogt ] and some total new ones

Thank you, you don't know how long i have been waiting for such helicopters.

This game needs more helicopters, hopefully one day a CH-53e Super Stallion will be developed, but of course only time will tell smile.gif
