ps3 controller not working on GTA4 pc?

i am getting kinda getting fustrated with this whole ps3 controller on pc working buisness. i have installed the ps3 drivers and my computer can reconize it but its JUST GTA4 that

doesnt want to reconize it. the controller works fine for RE5 and Assassins Creed 2. i am using windows 7 32 bit.

also i have a "logitech" game pad which i use for RE4 and i can play that on GTA4....

can someone PLEASE HELP ME.

^^^ This. I find it weird. The controller Works on my Older Windows XP PC. I use it for Emulators and sh*t. but my Newer Windows 7 Laptop. the Controller doesnt work for anything. i try everything. I would say going to Motionjoy.com and getting their Download. (im on my PS3 or else i would put the link up to the website)
