Just found a way to get the Hydra

Note: I don't know if anyone has said about this before. I had a quick search but didn't see it. May have just been overlooked though.

 

This is prior to doing the mission Vertical Bird, all you need is the abandoned airstrip in Verdant Meadows, and the races unlocked

 

I just did it on my XBox 360 (Downloaded version via XL Marketplace).

 

 

Here is all you need to do...

 

1) Go to Las Venturas Airport

2) Select the race, "Military Service"

3) Turn left straight away and park the Hydra in your hanger

4) Get out of the Hydra and run out of the garage. Try to make sure the doors close before the "Return to your vehicle" timer runs out

5) After your mission is failed, you'll be warped back to the LV Airport, head back to Verdant Meadows for your Hydra to be sitting in your hanger

Or the Phoenix from San Fierro Hills. Pretty useful, this race trick.
