GTA 4 High Settings problems

ok this problem only happens if I run gta 4 on high settings here's my benchmark

Average FPS: 40.23

Duration: 37.13 sec

CPU Usage: 64%

System memory usage: 59%

Video memory usage: 82%

Video Mode: 1920 x 1080 (60 Hz)

Texture Quality: High

Shadow Quality: High

Reflection Resolution: High

Water Quality: High

Texture Filter Quality: Anisotropic x16

Night Shadows: Off

View Distance: 20

Detail Distance: 31

 

Hardware

Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Service Pack 3

Video Adapter: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

Video Driver version: 6.14.10.7119

Audio Adapter: Realtek HD Audio output

AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core Processor

Please can anyone help me to fix this problem I mean seriously 40 fps and problems

I have installed latest catalyst drivers 10.9

I have processor drivers

I have motherboard drivers

The problem is like Textures won't show up and when I switch radio it still makes that noise when when switching radio I have picture

After that game freezes

As viometrix says, a 64 bit operating system would be of benefit, using all 4Gb of ram instead of about 3Gb for a 32 bit system. Also Windows 7 makes better use of a quad core cpu.

Apart from that, you have a good system. If it were mine, I would overclock the cpu past 3Ghz.

As for your specific problem, I don't know, but could be lack of memory. Try turning textures to medium for the time being.

last time when I tried overclocking cpu I almost f*cked it up and for 4870 I disagree 'cause I used to run the game on high settings with this card I think it's due all these stupid patches

if you ran this game on high settings with that card, then you are better then us and shouldnt be asking for our advice. it is a known fact that a> the 4000 series cards are buggy with this game and b> not a single card in the 4000 series can run the game in full high settings.

 

and dont blame it on the patches, just drop another hit in your pipe, move along.
