I Cannot unlock the race missions

I'm at 31% of the game, got to the mission "harbouring a Grudge", and for what I have read should by now have unlocked the races, but whenever I try to call Bruce I only get his answer machine and under its name in the phone there are no other options, I think I already did the "Nº1 " but I am not sure, anyway Bruce no longer appears as a mark in the radar, so I cannot go on with his missions in case I had not finished them.

How can I unlock the race missions?

According to the strategy guide you gotta complete a couple of "Brucie missions"

"Out of the Closet 1 and 2".

Then the next mission for Brucie is a RACE...

called "No. 1" with Brucie riding along...which you have to win.

THEN Brucie will call you...then the option appears for the other street races on Nico's phone.

Have you done the mission out of the closet I think it is where you kill the gay guy in the 69th street cafe? He has to call you to arrange the meeting and then you go there to kill him.

After that mission is the No 1 mission. It's possible to skip this mission and finish the story and come back to it in the end.

I Started playing this game in my friends Xbox, but when I got my PS3 I started from the beggining. I think that this second time I did not Play the "Nº1" mission, but Brucie is no longer avaliable, or at least does not appear in the radar. I have read in a different post that some of the character mission marks stop appearing sometimes though the mission is still available if I go to the right place. Tonight, when I have the chance, I'll try going to Brucie's location to see if there are missions available.

Yes, I have ended two parts of "out of the closet". I am already doing the missions for the drug exlord, excon, can't remember his name now. I have just recovered for him the night club.
