Best patch?

Which GTA IV is the best at all? Modding, stability and so on.

Ou, and for Multiplayer with my friends also.

For multiplayer only 1.07.0. For the rest, it depends who you ask, I used mostly 1.0.4.0.

Ok, but what about multiplayer if we are going to play on private network, one version, for example, via Hamachi.

Install GTA IV twice, run one patched to 1.0.04 for best performance and modding. Run the other copy on the latest patch if you want access to multiplayer.

I tried to downpatch from 7 to 4

 

and now I cant even get past the social club window.

 

is there anyway to bypass social club while still using patch 4?

you can get several problems when downgrading to a older patch.

Best bet if you are getting problems, uninstall first and reinstall

 

 

i always seem to get the missing text in the start menu when downgrading from patch 1.7

You CAN NOT downgrade, multiple reasons - incompatible file versions, RGSC etc.
