So..... is it ever being announced

Recommended Posts

It sure won't be announced on TGS since it has nothing to do with that gameshow, Rockstar hasn't announced anything lately, they showed jacksh*t on e3..

What are we supposed to wait for the next e3? I think I might literally start painting my ceiling with feces out of just going batsh*t crazy from all this waiting

i prefer to wait instead of watching a trailer like crysis 2, showing nothing.

I think your topic is considered as a spam , but anyway , Rockstar is still busy in marketing Red Dead Redemption since they are still working on two new DLCs . After that , don't raise your expectations , the focus will go to L.A Noire and maybe Max Payne 3 . There's still a possibility that GTA Next could be announced during an event for L.A Noire and Max Payne 3 , but you shouldn't expect any kind of information until they both release , get enough marketing and enough time and space to establish themselves very-well in the market . I want to be optimistic as much as possible , but there will also still Agent to reveal and to market , which is expected to have the same must have value of GTA . I don't see Rockstar releasing information for Agent and GTA side by side .

I can see Rockstar releasing GTA Next in 2013 . It won't be a problem for them since they keep getting very high profits from other titles such as RDR , and they will get the same and maybe more from L.A Noire , Max Payne 3 and Agent . We must remember that Rockstar is considering GTA IV's expansions as two complete and independent games , so this means for them that the last GTA was released late in 2009 !

I would have no problem not to hear anything about GTA Next until Agent releases because it would be more interesting to experience other titles from Rockstar . The thing that really annoys me is the lack of Rockstar-like games in terms of the quality and the concept in the market , so I can't wait to hear more about the next project , L.A Noire . I'm currently enjoying RDR and MAFIA II , but I'm really thirsty to hear more about L.A Noire .

L.A noire is developed by team bondi and published by rockstar, but still there are 2 games in production.

In the Take-Two financial report this summer the CEO talked about giving every title the time it needed, both under production and after release. I know that the longer they wait the more polished the games will be. But releasing one title a year can't be good for them.

R* is working on Duke Nukem Forever with Gearbox Software. Additionally, GTA V will directly link in with DNF's storyline, involving a huge cross-over event between Vice City and Duke Nukem. DLC will include a remake of SA on the IV engine, and 20 multiplayer skins.

Expect "GTA V: Ass and Bubblegum" to be released Winter 2011.

But on a serious note, at the moment it's just best to be patient. It's never a good thing to hype up a game, in case something happens to delay it.

Is that true? It would be awesome if it is. GTA SA FTW.

Max Payne 3, LA Noire, Agent, rumored Bully 2 (but rumor may have been from RDR before people knew that guy did the music for it/before game came out), CTW HD on iPad, GTA Classics on Mac.

Plate is pretty full. Disheartening aside from the feeling that they will announce and release swiftly - though I really feel it may be too late for that, and the game will rely on the strength of the brand alone. If they do what is expected by most judging by polls, then they really can't be too late, even if the marketing will require a bigger ramp in the beginning, it's GTA, they know it will sell, so it's almost like they have no reason to release it "until they are in trouble" - could go in any direction imo.

:: I think that these guys know exactly what they're doing, giving their developers time to really put some meat on GTA V's bones. Imagine it comes out looking exactly the same as IV with a new city. After all these years, we expect this one to really blow our socks off. Look at Gran Turismo 5. It's taken close to a decade to get that game out but when it does drop in November, the bar for the next decade has been set for racing sims. Hopefully, the next GTA will do that to. ROCKSTAR - TAKE YOUR SWEET ASS TIME BUT AT LEAST THROW US A BONE!!!! :: tounge2.gif

He's joking you idiot. At least on the GTA duke crossover.

Rockstar is also working with the guys behind True Crime Hong Kong due out early 2011.

this has to be my 10th post no GTA V related news this year im willing to put up money i won 60 bucks last time on the GTA IV location, who wants to join the pot im starting it right now I'm throwing away 60 bucks which is the price of the game, if it gets announced this year I lose if it gets announced next year thanks for buying the game for me, forum gambling is not illegal either

Max Payne 3 is being developed by R* Vancouver

RDR was developed by R* San Diego

LA Noire is being developed by Team Bondi

Chinatown Wars was developed by R* Leeds

Agent is being developed by R* North

As you can see there are a lot of games but R* North is only working on Agent. They are capable of working on GTA V at the same time, they are a very big studio. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they are working on 3 games. As for when it will get announced I don't know but it does seem odd that it is taking so long for an announcement. Maybe there were some problems during development that is causing the delay.

The thing that is causing the delay is that there's no space for GTA Next to get announced let alone to get marketed . Other projects have the priority , and these projects in order are L.A Noire , Max Payne 3 and Agent . Why do you think that a clever company like Rockstar would market a game side by side with GTA ? it would be a stupid idea if they did that because GTA will almost steal all the lights of the media while the another game let's say L.A Noire would suffer from this . It would be better for them to market every game independently , and that's Rockstar's habit . There's no reason to change their marketing mindset since it works very well in terms of the sales and the profits .

I put 1000 on the table to anyone who wants to bet against gtav being based in the south feat vice.

Yeh boy

So like uhh, you guys have NOTHING else to do to past the time? Keep sitting and waiting for some GTA V related news isn't going to make it come any faster. Go outside, get laid, work if you are old enough, damn. Don't mean to be Buzz Killington but come on, this is pretty sad. Oh well, f*ck it.

So like uhh you have NOTHING else to do but come on here & belittle people for spending their time how they damn well please. You twat!

I haven't even grown impatient waiting for an announcement considering I post here nearly everyday to be honest.

There's so many great games I haven't even played yet, and some that are still yet to come out.

An announcement will be nice, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Rockstar needs to f*cking hurry up with gta v.  mad.gif

Yeah, ok. You know what other games were rush jobs? E.T on the atari 2600. Big Rigs on PC. Superman 64. And we all know how those games turned out. Do you really want GTA to go the same route? I don't think you do. Just try other sandbox games while you wait. There's saints row 2 and just cause 2 and crackdown (get keys to the city in the free for all pack with this) and other sandboxes.

Guys you have to remember, lately Rockstar Games released on the PS3 have been bad ports. Agent is Rockstar Norths chance at finally working on the PS3 and learning how it works, once Agent is done, they can apply what they've learned, along with what they've learned with RDR to make a GTA game that is both Massive and graphically a whole lot better than what we've seen!
