Can somebody please help? im trying to play online with my friends and they see me and eachother but i cant see anybody, and this only happens to me

 

 

Has anybody had this problem & know how to fix it?

This has happened to me.. it is caused by a poor internet connection... i'm not referring to speed necessarily. I had this when i was playing wirelessly and without proper ports forwarded.

 

I now use a wired connection via an ethernet switch before my router and don't have any issues like this or random drops.

 

To fix.... improve your connection....

 

run wired connection

 

Set a static ip address for your console and either configure your router so the ip adress of the console is in the routers DMZ or forward the appropriate ports to that ip address..... both of these require you to logon to and configure your router.... portforward. com has good info for doing alot of that.

 

Alternatively do what i did and put an ethernet switch between your modem and router and plug the console into that. to do this your isp will have to be capable of providing you with more then 1 external ip address. Ethernet switches can be purchased for under $20... I've seen them as low as $10 after rebates.

 

You could also just un plug your router and run ethernet cable from your modem to your console directly.... i was doing this before i got my ethernet switch.
