Exporting problems.....

Recommended Posts

I seem to be having a problem exporting the eye textures from head_diff_000_a_whi.wtd. I've noticed with other skin mods they are very visible and the eyes are in the lower left hand corner where they should be, but when I export the textures to edit them in Gimp the eyes are not visible.... even if I exported the textures and just imported them right back in somehow I'm losing the eyes(they are pitch black in game). I use the latest SparkIV and I edit with Gimp and I' have removed the alpha and I guess not really sure what's going on or what I'm doing wrong... Hopefully someone has some advice since I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Thanks.

So I take it that no one has ever had this problem...? This is a modding forum and there's no suggestions for me at all? Anything? Maybe no one understands what I'm asking and I need to clarify? Out of the 180+ people that have read this post, no one has ever redone Niko's face?

I can't help you unfortunately.

But i am mainly posting here to tell you not to expect answers and solutions straight away on the forums despite how many views it has alright?

Also do not double post, it is against the forum rules and is considered spamming, if it was an accident and not meaningful, then make sure to state so, otherwise edit your posts.

Open the model you are making. Import the original model. Click properties of the eyes and change the materials to the eyes material from the imported model. Then delete old materials for eyes you had that didn't work. This trick has worked for me for everything but paint.

The guy double posted 1 month before the first reply. Its not spam. He bumped his own topic, wich is ok if its done after so much time.

Open the model you are making. Import the model that the eyes work on. Click properties of the eyes you want to work and change the materials to the eye material that works from the imported model. Then delete do in materials editor all the added textures except that one and the first texture for eyes you had that didn't work. This trick has worked for me for everything but paint.

I'm not sure what you mean at all.. heh heh. You said open the model I want to work on, so you mean Niko's face? Then you said " Import the model that the eyes work on", do you mean export not import? If you did mean import, then the problem is that I can't import unless I export first, but whenever I export I lose the eyes right away. When I preview the textures in the Spark program, It gives me buttons at the bottom right the R, G, B, and Full. As I click on the different buttons I can clearly see the eyes there, but as soon as I click "export" the eyes are gone. Like they were cropped out. and If I import the file right back in the eyes are now replaced with a black spot instead. then when I load up my game Niko's eyes are black. Not sure if you were trying to explain how to fix this, but I didn't understand what you meant...
