Parking and control system - (PACS)

Recommended Posts

This .NET mod allows you to save your vehicles anywhere in the GTAIV world at any time then reload them again at either gamestart or using the ingame gui. It also has a control panel built in which allows you to customise your current vehicle in most ways, you can change it's colours, healths, model, open and close doors, add extras etc.

Nearly everything is configurable in the "parking_config.ini" file which comes in the download and some things are configurable while playing the game using the gui.

This is version 1.1 of the mod, it's nowhere near finished but it's pretty stable so I decided to release it and get some feedback, it has some bugs like form resizing and message locations etc but these are minor. Please feel free to leave any type of comment, I don't mind aslong as it's constructive as I wish to squash all the issues/bugs from it.

You can download the latest source below (in c#):

MediaFire -- thanks to MulleDK19

It was compiled in Visual c# Express 2010 (free), load the solution then in the solution explorer right click the parking.cs file and select "view code".

You can download the current release from below:

GTAGarage (awaiting approval)

Please goto THIS thread to find all the mods requirements.

A readme is included in the package, please read this before using the mod as it will help you set it up and explains the settings etc, it also has two usefull links incase you come across issues with the mod.

You can see screens of the current version below (Heavy version, forms GUI):

A bug I've noticed is sometimes when opening the form the vehicle gets fixed, this will be fixed in the next version!

Just a small observation: the default values you list in the Readme.txt aren't actually the ones you've used in the supplied parking_config.ini.

I can't give you any more feedback than that at the moment as I haven't run the mod yet and don't have the required scripthook - I just took the opportunity to download this now as I may have a use for it in the future.

Donny78, this mod is brilliant! Exactly what the game needed; now I can save as many cars as I like, and none of them disappear. Kudos! lol.gif

This script runs perfectly on my rig: Windows 7 64-BIT (e.g., 'x86'); C++ Redistributable (2010) v10.0.030319; GTA:IV v1.0.7.0 (legitimate copy); ScriptHookDotNet v1.7.1.6; and running 2x .asi (C++) mods - Simple Native Trainer v6.0, and First Person Mod (v1.22).

I have tested only the 'heavy' version, but it loads up with no problems; I've managed to save 20 cars so far, and some of them within the yellow lines/parking bays where cars would normally be saved.

Thanks for making GTA:IV PC playable again - goodbye disappearing cars! icon14.gifcookie.gif

[N.B. Thanks for the mention in the credits; not that you had to, but I'm glad I was deemed a helpful part in some small way.]

Cheers for the report, I didn't think about it to be honest as I was testing different values and stuff.

Glad to hear it dude, enjoy.

GTA3Freak-2001

When I hit either F7 or F8 the gui text appears but I lose game control and cannot do anything, I need to reloadscripts with the console to regain control . I am running Simple Native Trainer, First Person View, Trafficfix, & ELS as well as all up to date versions of scripthook and dotnetscript for my version of GTA4. Haven't tried the light gui but since I am running ENB will try it now and see if there is any difference.

ENBseries is causing this problem that you are experiencing (I had the same problem).

Use the light version to solve this.

The light version does not contain as many options as the full GUI version does, but it is more than enough to start out with.

Just added more mirrors, don't know why that stopped working but I've put it on four random ones (I don't know good file hosts sorry).

Gtagarage.com ?

Excellent host.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll get it on there soon.

Got some updates I wish to get going before I release the next version.

Awesome mod, it's working great. Thanks!

Thankyou.

It's been updated to 1.1, only a few bugfixes etc but I've also added it on GTAGarage now, it's awaiting approval though (thanks Sjaak237, didn't know it was linked to my gtaf account!).

Sorry I no longer have IV installed, haven't played it for a while now so forgot about this mod to be honest.

@Gangmug and WolvenWolf:

What do your logs say ?

Do you have all the required files (I think listed in the readme or in Hazardx thread) ?

@Jenic123456:

It's in the ini file or in the save dialog (F7 IIRC), it's the "parkingspaces" setting or something named like that, can't remember as like I say I haven't used it in a while.

@All:

I have released the source code above in the first post, it's written in c# using the VC# express 2010 IDE so feel free to update/fix/optimise etc. I won't be able to support the mod any longer so it would be great to see someone take over the mod and if you have any questions about the code just ask here and I'll do my best to answer you (if I remember how lol).

Don't expect anything like neat optimised code, I'm just past being a newblet hehe.

This wont work for me... i have patch 1.6 installed and i installed asi loader & the scirpt thingy.. i put your two files in my ''scripts'' folder , and when i run the game and press 'f7' nothing appears? What am i doing wrong?
@Gangmug and WolvenWolf:

What do your logs say ?

"Error Parking.Parking Heavy" when the game loads.

And in the log:

[11/1/2010 7:11:08 PM]: Parking.net.dll initiated.[11/1/2010 7:11:08 PM]: Parking form constructed.[11/1/2010 7:11:08 PM]: MAX_VEHICLES set to 6[11/1/2010 7:11:08 PM]: Parking form elements created.[11/1/2010 7:11:08 PM]: Control form created.

Everything seems to work fine bored.gif I know you wrote you won't keep developing this mod, but if you have any Idea about what I need to add/remove from your original code to get this mod working, I'll be your fan forever lol.gif Lol, seriously, it'll be one of the best addons for my game.

Have you tried updating your ScriptHookDotNet ?

the latest version is 1.7. something IIRC, I just read on the previous page you are running 1.6 something so there's an option.

Other than this can you post you scripthook.log texts (both, that and the asi ones).

It's gonna be hard to fix without the game so any clues will help me out and have you tried it without any other mods installed etc ?

Edit:

It seems as yours is bugging out in the "VehicleControlForm" constructor as you never get the message: "Control form elements created.", if you know c# etc then take a look at the code in there to see what you can figure out, try the "CurrentEpisode" loops if you're not on just IV (tlad etc), I may have used incorrect indexes or something.

similar to VehicleSelector, but this one is much more convenient. tounge2.gif

Yeah there are a few mods like this dude, all pretty much the same minus a few small differences (GUI etc).

It's good to have a range in my opinion and this being open sourced makes it easy for people to udate to latest scripthooks etc when there are breaking changes. Whoever made the one with the black buttons (GUI), I'd like to compliment them on thier design, very nice indeed.

Can somone help me please or not?

I think you need to update to the latest patch, I don't know really but try posting your logs here from the asi loaders and scripthooks.

Ok but could i have your xfire , or email if you have one so i can speak to you? and maybe you could do it for me on team viewer because i really want this to work
