HELP! sa screen problem

im very p**sed off iv had gta san andreas pc v2 for a wile now. but i stoped playing it ages ago (it worked perfectly then, faultless). but since then iv erased everything off my computer and started again (restore to factory settings) iv downloaded all the stuff i need since then. msn... java player all that stuff. so i put my s.a disc in, install it, installation is perfect no error messages, nothing. So i play the game load up is fine. then i get to the main menu. "single player new game options" all that stuff and its realy glitchy. theres NO lag at all. but the screen in certain places go black. the words are all faded and missing half the letters. and the other buttons at the bottom are not there. so i have to guess were the back button is. and all the wile. iv got some thing flashing on my screen were the alphabet and numbers and spanish alphabet etc. comes up on my screen flashing like crazy. so i decide maybe its just the main menu. its not i start a new game the cutscene is exactly the same. only the hole screen goes black for like 1 second every 20. and so does the game play. its impossible to play. please help me. im unaware of my graphics card details. but iv got like 20gig left of memory on my hardrive. and i can play cod 4 on my pc so the quality of pc must be good (its a laptop, but microsoft)

so i think "YES I KNOW WHAT IT IS" cus when i used to play it. i downloaded a patch to downgrade it to v1 so i could play multiplayer. so i download the exactly the same patch and install it correctly no problems. then i go on san andreas. and i get the same problems nothings changed!!! of cours its now version 1 but the gltiches are still the same. i did get this thing come up after closing san adreas it said that my video crap might need to be updated. so i updated it, and its exactly the same problems the file thing was called like "ffd" aparently its also known as "core" can anyone help??? i realy want to play it as my xbox has recently broke. and i cant aford a replacement. please no fanboys. i just want help!!!!

EDIT: the pic ^, its not always like that pictures like that and triangles apear and they flash and change constantly like 1 new image per 0.2 secons

 

2nd EDIT: it IS a San andreas V2 DISC not downloaded i brought brand new from a shop. i downgraded it so i could go on Sa multiplayer

It would help if you told us your entire system specifications.

 

In the meantime, try deleting the gta_sa.set file from the User Files folder and update your video drivers.
