As far as the VIA/S3G cards go, it depends on the vram-the 32MB versions tend to work, while the 64MB ones do not seem to want to work, I have an old XP Home laptop that has a VIA/SIS 32mb vram card and the game works fine, but on my old XP Home desktop(which I don't have anymore), had a VIA/SIS 64mb card and the game world not run on it, even though it had the same OS, same SP, same RAM, and same processor(either 1.8 or 2.0GHZ(don't remember), vs. 798MHZ for the laptop). So, as long as it is not the 64mb model, it WILL play-maximum fps will only be like 15-18, but that is still very playable, and the game will tend to crash at random times, so save after every mission to not lose progress. Just a heads up.

If you are on a desktop, I would recommend a new video card-they are relatively cheap now a days, so that would be an easy option. If on a laptop, you cannot upgrade the video card(unless you have a Dell XPS-i'll explain that in a bit), as laptops have the Video card soldered into the motherboards-the dell XPS is the only one that does not solder the cards in(according to a local repair shop in the gulfcoast area).

The Legal versions of the game shouldn't need anything special.

Did you buy the DVD and stop using the pirated version?

You can't get help to make the pirated version work.

that's why they locked your previous cry for help...

As far as crashes with XP, that is more likely to happen on SP 3 than SP2. Also, upgrading to at least 1GB of Ram would probably help the game run better.

that first sentance is only really true of V2 and V3, with V1, you might need the V1.1 patch(aka the Hot Coffee patch), to fix some bugs and such.? Just a heads up.

The game is 5 years old. The latest drivers requirement was surpassed on any computer made within the last 3 years, at least.

My first computer that ran the game did an automatic upgrade to the video drivers and I had to roll back to keep the game playing properly.

so I don't believe the 'up-grade' drivers applies now, if using a recent computer.

Minimum System Requirements

1GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon Processor

256MB of RAM

8x DVD-ROM Drive

3.6 GB of free Hard Disk space for a minimal install

64MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce3" or better)

DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card

Keyboard & Mouse

Recommended System Requirements

Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better)

384(+) MB of RAM

16x DVD-ROM drive

4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install

128(+) MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better)

DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card

Game pad with twin axis analog controls (USB or Joystick Port)

Keyboard & Mouse

By the way you said in your first post of this topic:

I have installed gta-sa after the intro the game backs to desktop …… is this why crach (sic)…

When I asked if you were still trying to get your pirate game running you said:

… I asking before buy the game to know if it will play with me, understand ?,

Your PC seems outdated... (IE 6?) Do you have all Windows XP updates and latest graphic drivers?

Hey, I have a solution. Here, let me explain it to you step-by-step.

1. Buy the game.

2. Check if it runs on your system.

3a. If yes, be happy.

3b. If no, get a better system that can run the game.

4. If you still face an issue, then come back and post here.

Simple?
