GTA IV Doesn't Work!

Hi everyone -

 

My GTA IV game I just bought from Steam does not work - it says, whenever I start,

 

"GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Unable to create depth render target - Check that your Video Card meets or exceeds the minimum requirement. You may also try re-installing DirectX and/or the latest video card driver."

 

My video card on Windows Vista is the 'Generic PnP Monitor on Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family.' I do not know what to do! Please help!

 

I re-installed the latest DirectX and also tried to install nVidia 7900 (the required video card) but I got this message:

 

"Setup detected that the operating system in use is not Windows. This setup program and its associated drivers are designed to run only with Windows. The installation will be terminated."

 

Even though I have Windows Vista!

 

After that, I click 'Re-install with recommended settings.' Then I get this error message -

 

"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

 

What can I do?!?!

Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family

Integrated graphics is not supported. You may try various game versions, some may get running.

So what's the solution?

Well your laptop doesn't support GTA IV because of it's Graphics. You'd have to either try getting your laptop upgraded or buy a new one.

Or even better, buy a gaming PC for gaming. capable laptops are usually a lot more expensive.
