GTAisAwesome2.0
GTA III is the greatest GTA in my opinion because its legendary and i love the feel of the game play, a game were you can roam free...etc. well now i was wondering, on head and maybe lips, do they have fake bands, that make music just for the soundtrack. Is this true? does anyone have a list of the songs only made for the game? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457679-the-gta-iii-soundtrack/ Share on other sites
Raptomex
Not sure. But I do love the title theme. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457679-the-gta-iii-soundtrack/#findComment-1060097796 Share on other sites
QwertyAAA
Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure that all of the 'bands' on the two stations you mentioned are fictional. In fact, all of the music in GTA and GTA 2 was composed by Craig Connor (and, at times, Colin Anderson) - including Gangster Friday/Grand Theft Auto/Joyride by 'Da Shootaz' which reappeared from GTA. This is also seen in Vice City, where Unaesta is a fictional band that is not referred to as such. In short, yeah, pretty much, but most of the songs on the other radio stations are written by real artists. I am not sure about Rush, however. yoječ
GTAIII soundtrack is generally made escpecially for this game and is unique. There are some exceptions though - e. g. Joyride first appeared in GTA1, and Flashback radio contains songs from Scarface movie soundtrack. stef_92
Lips and Head radio have some bands that are not real. But about RISE, GAME, MSX, Double Cleff, K-Jah and Flashback I'm 100% sure that all songs are real. James_Earl_Cash
Only Lips 106 and Head Radio harbor original music from Rockstar. The rest of the stations have "real" music. stef_92
MSX FM conatains 3 cuts from the Drum & Bass compilation Moving Shadow 01.1 and everything there is real from real DnB producers. Rise FM contains mix of some Deep House and Progressive Trance tracks which are real and you can buy the releases from Generation Records. Game FM has some real music too mainly by Royce Da 5'9''. The songs Royce Da 5'9'' feat. Pretty Ugly - Spit Game and Agallah feat. Sean Price - Rising To The Top are produced specialy for the game. And as bammargera said - the songs from Flashback are from the Scarface's soundtrack. DEALUX
^ Not bad, but the percussion instruments\drums are a bit too heavy and don't blend so well with the rest. JurzeeDee
Dude every single song on GTA III is a Real "True" Song. I'm actually in cahoots with one of the artists on there by the name of Black Rob. Those bands are all promoted by R*. cidamelo
Yes, there are some great songs in Head Radio and Lips 106, but unfortunately they are not "real" This also happens a lot in The Sims!! Songs which are composed by artists of the game studio... Examples of some good songs like that are April in Paris - Feels Like I Just Can't Take No More, Funky BJs - "Rubber Tip" , Conor and Jay - "Change" , and many others!! Mr_Leone
I like that Cidamelo! Makes Liberty feel less American, and more....Rockstar! You get me? Like, Liberty is a city in it's own world. Arsen Vitiuk
Makes Liberty feel less American, and more....Rockstar! You get me? Like, Liberty is a city in it's own world. I also think that way. Having music in the game that cannot be met in the real world just adds up to GTA III being The Game! The more you feel the difference, the more you get from the game world. At least I think so. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457679-the-gta-iii-soundtrack/#findComment-1061682602 Share on other sites
cidamelo
Yes, this is true, but it's kind sad because I wanted to know the real artists after those great songs Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457679-the-gta-iii-soundtrack/#findComment-1061682893 Share on other sites
Arsen Vitiuk
What we certainly know is that they all were produced by Craig Conner. But yes, I think that Rockstar should have at least posted the information about who was playing in the "bands" on their website - because those people deserve to be famous as well as everyone else from the team. Arsen Vitiuk
Arsen Vitiuk this also happens with The Sims, they don't show the name of the real artist!! Too bad. So sad. It really would have been a pleasure to know the people behind the band's "mask". Well, at least for me. I am a man who honors almost any person's work, with some exceptions.
