Resistance 3

No idea why this doesn't have it's own topic by now. I never played the first one but R2 was one of my favorite shooters on the PS3.

I seen the trailer yesterday on gamefaqs. I think the first one was better than R2...it just seemed kinda bland to me but the size of those titan bosses was just amazing. I hope that the third can bring back the magic.

I really hate what seems to be a common trend with using real actors for game trailers these days. However I can overlook that just because this has finally been confirmed. My friend had the first game which was ok but the second was brilliant in terms of story/single player, multiplayer not so much. That said I fondly remember some of the death matches myself and Gezim had

Sorry mate I cant, not that you’re a bad player at that or online gaming in general I was just that good especially in those death match games we had! Those games were more enjoyable than the normal MP in that though, some of the online trophies for it were stupidly long.

Yeah, MP in R2 was only fun if you played in split-screen mode with someone IMO. Hopefully R3 can improve the online for all areas.

I think the thing with using real actors for these game trailers now a days is to add more of that human factor to the games. I mean Resistance and Halo all take place in the "real world" within the game worlds so what better way to show a real human side and emotions then using real humans. Not to mention these trailers have been of top notch quality. The Halo trailers since 3 have all been epicly amazing.

 

I never played Resistance 2 and Resistance: FOM I didn't really enjoy much but then again I only had a 2 day rental. With this game I hope its along the lines of the trailer. Maybe you'll play as a real Resistance fighter since by now alot of governments have fallen. Add some horror elements and give the game a more in depth storyline then I'll give the game a serious chance and possibly go back and get 1&2.

I hope they bring back the offline Co op story. I really missed that in R2
