unknowngtafan
While i was browsing the xbox forums and came accorss one that said GTA V hint?. Posted by Hesse 09 Go to the GTA IV Website (http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/) through Google. After it loads for about ten seconds, it should say something like "Liberty City - Great to visit, better to leave" If not, keep reloading. I got these "Liberty City - Have fun while your here, because its not going to last" "Liberty City - Long time since we've been here. Longer since we've been there." and "Liberty City - Not warm enough for me. I'm leaving." The final two are the major ones. Longer since weve been there, SA was the city weve been away from the farthest. (not including london as the next one eliminates that. Not warm enough. Cali is very hot year round pretty much. So does this mean that GTA V will be in SA? Or more likely simply Los Santos Sorry if this has already been posted, couldnt find a thread about it though. QwertyAAA
I am pretty sure that's been there since early 2008. Why exactly "More likely"? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457203-gta-sa-hint/#findComment-1060088430 Share on other sites

Why exactly "More likely"? because of the rumour of it being simply los santos, as by vg247 or something like that Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457203-gta-sa-hint/#findComment-1060088438 Share on other sites

whyhellothere
Reading way too much into it. f*ck that, this is R* themselves giving hints towards the location, and narrowing it down to warm locations that we have been to before (Vice City, San Andreas) How can we NOT dig into this as much as possible? You sir, are an idiot. "Liberty City - Long time since we've been here. Longer since we've been there." and "Liberty City - Not warm enough for me. I'm leaving." in WHAT WAY does that not imply it will be in Vice City or San Andreas? Both of which we have seen before, and are warm locations. xNewtype Acex
Oh, so we calling each other petty names now? "Liberty City - Long time since we've been here. Longer since we've been there." Oh that's right, when was the last time we were on Liberty City? 2005 on LCS. If you count it only as main console games, 2001. "Liberty City - Not warm enough for me. I'm leaving." Liberty City (New York) is a cold windy place, and what the average person that visits it or lives there would think. It is not a reference to the next game, hell, these lines were there before GTA IV had been completed, do you think R* had already decided where to set the next game, when they weren't even done with IV? Or better yet, do you really think R* would choose a location based on two random lines they put on a website two years ago? No sir, YOU are an idiot. Well gee, sorry for making the reasonable assumption that R* would have made tenative plans about their next cash-cow around the end of the production of GTA IV. Also, by console the last time we saw Vice City was 8 years ago, and the last time we saw SanAndreas was 6 years ago. Last time we saw Liberty? 2008. 2 years ago. And yes, New York IS quite windy and cold. Miami and Los Angeles are warm. Your move. xNewtype Acex
Well gee, sorry for making the reasonable assumption that R* would have made tenative plans about their next cash-cow around the end of the production of GTA IV. You're forgiven, I've seen people with crazier ideas. Also, by console the last time we saw Vice City was 8 years ago, and the last time we saw SanAndreas was 6 years ago. Last time we saw Liberty? 2008. 2 years ago. Except the quotes were referring to LC, which up to that point we hadn't seen for the third time. Remember, this webpage is from 2008, before the game was released, which city do you think they referring to at the time, Shangai, China? And yes, New York IS quite windy and cold. Miami and Los Angeles are warm. And in this crazy world of yours LA & Miami are the only warm places in the world, it's just a general statement. It should be noted, my justification here stems from how it implys that they are going somewhere we have been before, and that it will be warm. Vice City and San Andreas both fit that description perfectly. I would hope yuo can see where I'm going with this. And as a side note, sorry for the needless aggrivation. It was childish and did not contribute to the topic at hand. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457203-gta-sa-hint/#findComment-1060088518 Share on other sites
Kwandilibro
Warm doesn't necessarily mean a warm location. New York is quite hot during the summer, as are many other cities. It could just mean the next game will be during summer. Obviously, it won't be LC again. Oh, I definitely see where you're going with this, and I understand why you came up with such assumptions, but you can't really say that is evidence that the next game will take place in any of those locations, can you? Now, don't get me wrong, I would love to see SA as much as the next guy (VC not so much, I think SA has more potential, what with the varied terrain and such), I just don't think these two seemingly random quotes from 2008 before IV was released (and referring to the city the game was set in) would have much relevance in 2010. And don't worry about it man. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/457203-gta-sa-hint/#findComment-1060088522 Share on other sites
