Legacy-666_
Do you think that reaching Rank 10 should have "unlocked" more things. Maybe a certain gun or vehicle, or even something like a slightly bigger health bar. I was pretty disappionted when I realised that all there was to unlock was clothes. I'd dreamed of something useful like more accurate aim.
Nikoguy74
yeah like a secret weapon or something that would be cool
Anasterian
It would have been fun if we could spawn in a vehicle in freemode instantly, maybe a few choices like Infernus, NRG 900, Rancher... You know, some "best of" vehicles. So we could use our Level 10 to run off from spawn killing noobs
Booze
Well, they've done it with RDR, so hopefully they'll put it in the next GTA
Mokrie Dela
I'd say no - because it punishes those who simply aren good enough (or don't play enough) to reach that level. Holding guns and game features back for those that reach that top level is a bit of a f*ck you to those lesser gamers. I know RDR has the "legenedary" thing and i'm not sure what else it unlocks. But personally, if i buy a game, i want all of the game - if the makers hold back features for the elite gamers - the super-skilled ones, then personally i would feel cheated. It'd be like buying Skate, and learning you have to unlock a skateboard by doing goals.... ( i wouldnt put that past EA). Personally, I say, give us the game and let us unlock things through single player, through challenges (likein RDR) and those unlocks be available in Multiplayer. That way, you wont be taking features away from those who are, to be harsh, crap at the game, instead you're rewarding playing the game. Maybe reaching level 10 should unlock "elite" challenges (example: kill 50 people in five minutes with AA off), just give us the fun so we can play the game for ten mins (cos that's how long it takes for a noob/hax0r to come into the game, or untill i get bored) The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. theGANNER
I know RDR has the "legenedary" thing and i'm not sure what else it unlocks. I played it till level 50. You get all the guns from the start (even after you die) so you dont have to run around and collect them. Thats pretty useful if you are attacked by some free roam bullies. Sniper bullet to the face. But you can see the downside of this. Some level 50s killing everybody in the room. Its a little frustrating for newer gamers. Now imagine this feature in GTA. And the number of complaints on this forum would triple. And you get a bull that you can ride. But its pretty lame compared to the better horses you obtain earlier. So i guess its just there for fun. Every other player in the room is going after you just to get this bull. So it adds a little challenge to the beaten game. If you go legendary you simply loose all weapons and good horses. Just to get them again 4 more times. And every time you reach level 50 again you get a legendary mount. So at the end you have wasted a lot of time and earned yourself a zebra donkey and some titles (such as "the legend") that you can show to your friends... AND of course you get 5 pretty ugly skins that you can show off. Pretty lame if you ask me. Compare that to the lingerie chick or the blue speedo guy in GTA. I wouldnt call it a step forward in the right direction... Edited August 17, 2010 by theGANNER
Madmonk420
Yeah but they,ve added a new feature to free roam in RDR where if you get 6 kills without dying you get the whole room after you.A bounty on your head and a reward for any players who may want to take you down. That seems fair to me.Also i like how in RDR you get a bonus for playing disallow.A feature GTA is screaming out for.Maybe next time

I wouldnt call it a step forward in the right direction... I've done the "prestige" think and topped the highest rank... You then get every weapon in your stock, gold. Every single character is unlocked along with all mounts. (Zebra donkey, Albino buffalo, etc). I get repetitively spawn killed on Red Dead, so i just get on my zebra donkey, switch to the high power pistol, and plod towards them spraying the f*ck out of their skull ... but then they leave
SICKRAGE
On one hand: Making items unlockable by leveling up gives players insinative to play the game more and pays for their time and effort by giving them an advantage in battle. On the other hand: It's frustrating to start a game where everyone is not only more experienced but also have better equipment. You pretty much have to tolerate having your ass handed to you untill you've played enough to where your not at so much of a disadvantage. Went through this with Killzone 2 and MW2. mrnew
I agree. the butthurt obsessive compulsive level 10s who refuse to stop playing the game don't need any extra treats to help them waste other player's time. Christ, we get it, you're better than everyone, go read a book or learn a new skill or something.
