What if there was No GTA Next?

if you start thinking it, this guy has alot of sad truth

 

1-GTA V what should do? IV has it all, has euphoria, has over 1000 diferent animations and actions for peds, alot that some of them are completly not used, what else they will do? nothing they will be just doing like a "GTA III Era Maps to IV era" and trying to find an stupid way to continue storyline, Niko story has a really end, nothing else affects you so it can be a perfect end

 

2-R* even went out of E3, dont really find a really good reason for doing this

 

3-R* has alot of stuff to thing about, they saw a game like RDR generated more money than GTA IV, now that they know the potential of their engine they are taking alive old games like true crime and max payne, GTA is done, they did what they dreamed to have one time now they know they have the power they will start finding other ways

 

I think at least for me its kinda very clear GTA is done and if not this will take atleast 5 years to have a new edition since, see how much time...6 years just for IV, now IV is damn detailed alot of sh*t to see and hard to be over it...just imagine what they will need to be over IV and generate the money to can continue GTA series

What are you talking about? R* don't need to directly continue GTA IV's story. All they have to do is reference it like they done with GTA III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS.

 

Those games are all connected, but their stories aren't. At the most they show a background story on some of the prominent GTA characters in the GTA III universe. Why can't they do the same thing with GTA Next/V?

Well, that's a load of bullsh*t.

 

R* has no game even close to being as profitable as GTA. Ending the series would be suicidal. RDR, Max Payne, Agent, Bully, all those titles don't mean sh*t when GTA enters the room.

The point of Euphoria is to get rid of animations.. 

No it's not. The point is to dynamically blend them and decide which ones to do real time and dynamically based on what the given circumstances of a frame are.

 

Euphoria in no way shape or form is intended to replace animation work, only to further synthesize it in a realistic way.

The thing is - his point of unused anims is important. All the unused things, like the Snow effect I talked about on the last page - We know there will be another GTA at this point and the opening post is just digging too deep, the remaining question is, I suppose: Will it take until 2012 or even next year? If so, shame on them, when it's the only series they have that people REALLY care about on a large scale.

As I had said, yeah, they did what they wanted with the series, but if I was Sam I would see how much of a huge success GTA was, I wouldn't end the series just yet.

There are still holes in the stories in GTA IV... such as Gay Tony or Rocco, wherever they went, need an official word.

 

Most of Rockstar's other games are 90% similiar to GTA. RDR series for example, except there's no 'Big Cities' and you don't have drivable motor cars. So I wouldn't mind much even if this was the end of GTA, but I would miss the uniqueness of the series.

Damn, I certainly hope GTA isn't over. I can't even imagine that happening. GTA IV was good but damn, not good enough to be the FINAL game of the series.

The GTA series is one that couldn't have an ending... It could... But not in the gamer's eye.

They don't tie everything up, so that they always have a tunnel with light at the end. But its been too long now... Sometime in the near future, I think we'll see the light appearing at the end of this tunnel.

I'm pretty confident saying that we'll keep seeing GTAs until the series becomes unprofitable. Even after that it's cancellation is not guaranteed, new management, designers etc to breath a bit of life into it.
