Tizmo Posted August 16, 2010 Share Posted August 16, 2010 To say it bluntly, your CPU and GPU just are not good enough. Sure, the Q8400 is a quad-core, but a poor one at that. Then, your GPU is not meant for heavy 3d gaming... Since you are on the LGA775 platform, it you were to have a Q9550 for the CPU and a high end video card, then that would be nice for GTA IV. Zedo Mann Posted August 16, 2010 Share Posted August 16, 2010 My Sapphire HD 4850 runs it at 15-20 FPS, but it runs smoothly about 90% of the time. I have an AMD Athlon X2, Windows 7, and am running the latest version of GTA IV. Oh, and 2GB of RAM on 1440x900 resolution. Buuuuuut I'm bragging. Do you have a lot of programs running in the background? What Windows do you have? What version of the game (What patch is installed (latest?))?
