I prefer it that way. Makes it more of a challenge finding out who to piss off, and who you shouldn't.

Yeah I agree. The gangs in past GTAs might aswell have worn big purple hats with "I'm a gang member" written on them, as that's how much they stuck out from regular peds.

 

I'm no expert on gangs, but I'm fairly sure most would try to be discrete as possible (Unless committing a crime of course) so they don't attract attention from the police/FBI.

That's LA for you. The red and blue are meant to be blatantly obvious indicators of who's in which gang. Now it almost always backfires, but I guess it prevents fellow gang members from blowing each other's heads off thinking they ran with another crew.

 

But this is mostly the Bloods, Crips, and Latin gangs. GD's, Vice Lords and such are more commonly identified by their turf, making them harder to distinguish from your everyday thug.

 

Really depends on the gang and the city.

 

But no, most gangs aren't that concerned about being discrete.

Yes Kwandilibro, in "hoods" gangs it's more common to gang member not being discrete, but in mafia families, for example, isn't SO clear to identify them.

well it's more realistic this way, as there aren't 50 gang members all dressed the same in one little nieghborhood anymore and now some gangs enter others turf

@cidamelo, The Bloods and Crips wear colors to identify each other, but many gangs go by turf. Especially in the Midwest.

Ok, they are descreet but in the real modern day New York, or even modern day world alot of gangs are descreet, street gangs are less descreet but organized gangsters are harder to find.

 

Tips : Go to Hove beach, where Niko's old safehouse was, shoot at some russian guys, eventually i no time you will be fired at by Russian Gangsters, and will probably die.

 

Another one, go to little Italy, if you see a black PMP or Sentinel, it might contain a American Mafioso, some also wair beige suits and a red tie and carry an Uzi if you point a gun at one he fires back. Or go to Westyke, you'll find Pegorino's either some walking on the street or in cars.

 

Those are the only places i know that are dangerous
