I just want to be able to LAN with my Bro.

Me and my brother have been gamers since the days of DOS games... we live in rural East Texas and only get piss ass internet so we do NOT like online games or having to login to some BS to play a freakin single player game. We both love the GTA series... What better way is there to blow off some steam than to go on a rampage throughout Liberty City. We actaully own 3 copies of GTA4, 2 for PC and 1 for Xbox. We thought GTA4 would be awsome for its multiplay, but...

 

We both have brand new custom built computers that well satisfy the system req. Personally I have a

(built less than a week ago only 1 other game installed)

 

i5 750 2.66GHz quad-core

4GB DDR3 RAM

Nvidia GTX 465 (1024MB)

Windows 7

 

We have only been able to connect over the LAN Once... And we both have beening having problems with "Your computer is running too slow" and we get removed from the multiplay.

 

So because of this stupid glitch we decied to try to download the patch all 105MB aka a 12Hr long Download (thank God for friend with highspeed).

 

But after installing this patch it got worse... Now we can't evern launch ther freaking game! I do not mean to sound rude just a little erked... We just want to play some simple little Multiplayer over our 1Gb LAN... Is that too much to ask?
