kudoboi
Use the Edit button don't double post And King is right. I had trouble removing the norton trial on my laptop when I first got it. It does burrow itself into your PC And please stop defending Norton, you can't change our minds about it being total crap. You honestly believe it's as easy as that to remove? Sysmantec had to release a dedicated tool to completely remove it. dude the trial version sucks, even i hated the trial version. the full version is 10 times better than f*cking trial. best reconmand norton internet security 2010. though 2011 is coming so just wait for it. james227uk
No thanks, this laptop is quite low end and Norton will slow it down to the speed of an ant. And I don't want to wait for 2011. I've got Avast! antivirus, I'm completely covered. No need to pay for that sack of crap when I've got a security suite of free applications
SyphonPayne
And no, registry cleaners are not 100% safe. It they were, why do you think they offer to make a regustry backup? In my experience with registry "cleaners" such as CCleaner, granted this was on my older machine running XP, it did more harm than good. After it "cleaned up" my registry, the machine kept having random BSoD's after about 5-10 minutes of use. Even when I restored the "backup" it still had the problems until I reinstalled XP. Never tried it on the Vista install I have on that machine, because I don't feel like reinstalling Vista and believe it or not Vista runs smoother on that machine than XP for me anyway. Though that is most likely due to the fact I have Vista on a much more modern HDD, which has a much better transfer rate. So I'm pretty skeptical about registry cleaners.
