MW_29
im having a little problem with the weapon offsetim trying to change its location i changed the grip to 45coltpro and lowered the z offset by 5 but it remains the same Any pictures of the gun model? This is a new one right? And you want to change its firing offset? The easiest way is to create a dummy just where you want have muzzleflash, and then copy coords of this dummy to weapons.dat just in place of the weapon firing offset coords ...and for this method 3dsmax would be really usable ;P
yair1221
sorry dont know how to use 3ds
MW_29
If it's a new weapon model, the end of it's barrell can be situated in other place than end of barrell of a stock gun you want to swap with the new one. So naturally stock weapon's fire offset can't fit to the new weapon, so there's a necesity to adjust it a bit, if you new gun is longer then try to set higher value of the first offset coord - that's X axis, then if new gun has barrell higher than stock one, then change to higher value the third coord - the Z axis, and if gun is placed a bit to the left or right in comparision to the stock one , try to combine with second fire offset coord value - that's the Y axis ...without using 3ds or something similar, you will adjust it "in blind" so then try not to add too high coords values, just little adjustments untill you reach desired effect. MW_29
okbut i installed a new character too and its bigger than the normal CJ so i tried to move the weapon but the MODEL wont move only the muzzle flash and fire coords have changed But you wanted to move fire offset (muzzleflash) didn't you? To move or adjust models pivots or at all messing inside model file, you definitely need some 3d modeling software... ...in weapon.dat you can only adjust weapon fire (muzzleflash) offsets Edited August 15, 2010 by MW_29
