The not so official art thread

Recommended Posts

I was going to post in Moon's caricature thread, but i figured i wont steal his spotlight and just make an art thread of my own so anyone can show off with what they have. I just hope it doesn't get closed for being the #12321 art thread.

So, all bs aside, post what you have smile.gif

Your works are pretty damn cool.

I wish I could make that muscle stuff in third pic.

I must say that the last one is impressive.

Oh and, so I can post my works here ? Okay, I'll see what I have.

This one I drew today.

Oh and, a little question :

Only drawings, or digital stuff too?

Loving the third pic. It's been a while since i did shades and stuff like that. Good job. And yeah, i have lots of trouble with hands.

Well i was thinking hand drawings/sketches mostly, but i suppose some digital work can't hurt either smile.gif

Here's one more:

It's kinda sketchy, and I hate how I made shading on the side, just too rough.

I rather like how the Vector version came out.

Edit: It's kinda funny when image and my signature shows pretty much same stuff biggrin.gif

This one's really cool. Your shading's great man, there's a really textural quality to it.

@ tuareg: your musculature and anatomy look great, but I'd focus on proportion too. Your arms seem especially short. One trick I like to use to make sure my arms are long enough is that a human's elbows align with the naval. I'd even up those boobiez in that musculature study page too wink.gif

I'm sorry if I'm hi-jacking this topic, but why isn't anyone else posting? dontgetit.gif

Haha yeah, the forearms were very short. I've been told that before, but only really noticed it now. I drew it in class and didn't focus on proportions. Just drew the muscles and all that. I'll update this thread next week since i have the whole week off and i'll try putting what you said about proportions to use smile.gif

Even without the nips? wow.gif

@txdeditor: Loving the way you shade man, especially the first one. Makes me want to start up shading again icon14.gif
