Steam Version GTA SA

Alrigh i made the mistake and purchased GTA SA from steam a week ago and haven't been able to get the mods to work on it. From what people have said, it's the v3.0 of the game, but it's the same as v2.0, i am trying to find the damn link to download the patch downgrader and also looking for a WORKING .exe crack. Yes i know the forums don't want people to link it here, so pm me with the link to it or something.

It is against the Policy of this forum to discuss Downgraders.

And Cracks are off limits also.

 

And as I understand it V3 is not moddable. See the Modding forums.

First, we are not allowed to link to Downgraders/cracks, as per the Forum Rules(Pinned in the Announcements section), because they can be used for Warez purposes, plus they were not created by the game developer(Rockstar Games).

 

Second, The Steam version(V3) Cannot be downgraded, nor modded-except for Script mods(ie. Mission Passer's, Pillager, etc). So, if you want to use mods, you will have to BUY a Retail copy(V2, sold now a days), and that will allow you to use all but .img mods(i think?)-Question is on the info about mods on V2.-I know Script and .ipl mods work, as I have tested those types on my natural V2 game. Just a heads up.

@lil weasal, the OP wasn't talking about mods, he was talking about downgraders and cracks-cracks being illegal, and the patch being for V1 games only(to remove the Hot Coffee, I believe)? If I read the first post right. Just a heads up..

Since this is primarily a modding related issue (since your game works fine otherwise), you should seek help in the modding forums. Use the search function in there as I'm pretty sure there already have been many topics in there for the same issue.
