Plot

Pablo Sanchez is A 25 year old Mexican American Who was born and raised in San Carlos, He has Three brothers Jose, Eduardo (Eddie) and Emmanuel ( Manny). After losing their mother at a very young age and having an absentee drug addicted father the brothers Soon turned to the streets and the gang life to make money to support themselves. They founded A gang called Las Terribles When the youngest brother Manny was only 8 years old And soon Began controlling the streets in south San Carlos and the gang soon grew under the leadership of the oldest brother Pablo. But even though they had one of the largest gangs in San Carlos the Sanchez brothers weren’t immune to the law Pablo was arrested in 2005 for multiple charges and spent 6 years in prison being released in 2011. this is where the game picks up with Pablo returning to the streets to help rebuild his gang and take back the streets.

San Carlos

The game picks up after Pablo is released from jail and dropped off outside of the police headquarters in San Carlos and makes his way back to the hood, his brothers inform Pablo about the collapse of the gang without his leadership they go to round up some of the old members and along the way Jose is killed, the automatic assumption is that the hit was an act by their rival gang The Hounds, but they soon learn that they had nothing to do with it and this starts the subplot which is to discover who wronged them and killed their Brother. But the majority of San Carlos is spent attempting to rebuild their criminal empire until they make a bad decision and have to flee town to Firebird, Manny knows a well known drug dealer in the area so they go there.

Firebird

After the Brothers are forced to flee San Carlos they make their way to Firebird and meet up with a well know drug smuggler David Brenner who was sent here by the Kolski family to handle their business in the area. They soon start working for Him and Meet new contacts In the city, Soon after you get to Firebird many and Eduardo Both agree to sneak across the border and set up operations In Mexico for David and leave Pablo In Firebird to wrap up Their business their, While in Firebird you meet up with a corrupt FBI agent who uses his knowledge of the police to help David and Pablo avoid the law and expand their operation. After you work you way through Firebird And help establish David and yourself as one of the most well know crime tandems in the state the borders re-open which allows you and David to drive across the border and meet up with your brothers at the small Mexican town of Avion.

Mexico

After you and David cross the border and meet your brothers in Avion you begin flight training at the towns airstrip, And once you learn to fly David Invites you to his own private airstrip in the desert. Where you begin doing flying missions for him that involve smuggling drugs across the border, And at this time your brothers go into Vizcaino to get operations started there. And also you learn that te man who killed your dad is a Vizcaino drug lord Hector Mendez.

Vizcaino

After you learn the identity of the man who ordered the hit on your brother resides in the nearby city of Vizcaino you drive there and meet up with your brothers at a small car dealership David owns and serves as his base of operations in Vizcaino. The plan is to serve as a double agent and work into Mendez’s drug empire. So you do this by working for him in various missions in the city and gaining his respect. Until the point where you and your brothers think it’s a good time to move in and take your revenge. But as you are about to assault Mendez at his headquarters in a high-rise in downtown he calls you with a proposal….. this forces you to choose your path

Take revenge: Ignore Mendez’s proposal and storm into his high-rise fighting your way up multiple levels and finally taking out the man himself. After which you return to the car dealership to report your brothers the good news but when you get there you discover them dead and a note left saying that when you denied Mendez’s proposal he knew you had been working for David and he sent a guy and whacked your brothers. And the final credits show Pablo crying over his brothers dead bodies before fading to black and showing a flyover video of the map. This path rewards you with Mendez’s penthouse as a safe house and $500,000 in cash added to your bank account.

Betray David: Accept Mendez’s proposal and Drive out to Davids mansion and fight of the guards and kill David inside his mansion. After you accomplish this Mendez calls you and thanks you for your work. He pays you $500,000 and tells you that you can use his private runway at the Vizcaino airport loaded with a Shamal a Rustler and a Hunter all for your own personal use. After you finish this the credits roll with the same flyover of the map as before.

Language Barrier

The main question anyone has when they hear an idea about a gta in a foreign country is the language barrier because the series has always been in English speaking countries (USA and the UK) and the majority of gta players speak English and most don’t speak fluent Spanish so when you go to Mexico in this game some concessions had to be made so most players will have no problem understanding whats going on.

-All street signs/advertising/business signs etc. will be written in Spanish and if you can translate them some will be some sort of an Easter egg, like a restaurant’s name will translate into “Makes you puke”

-All of the radio stations will be the same as the ones you can hear in any other city and are all in English, 2 radio stations are based out of Vizcaino but the dialogue on them is in accented English.

-All the peds speak Spanish but even turning on the subtitles wont translate them and once again if you take the time to translate them some Easter eggs can be found. But all the story specific characters speak accented English

Crossing the border

The border between the united states and Mexico is clearly defined on the map as a balck line. On land there is a 25 foot tall indestructible fence that you cannot climb separating the two countries and the border crossings are blocked off and closed and if you try to swim across to Mexico you receive a 4 star wanted level when you cross the border same if you try to swim to firebird before you unlock it. To go from the USA to Mexico you must cross the border some how there are multiple ways of doing this.

On land: when you want to cross the border on land you must approach a border checkpoint and stop like the toll booths in GTA 4. If you want to travel across the Bridge connecting San Carlos to Vizcaino you stop at the checkpoint on the Vizcaino side of the Bridge

On water: if you want to cross on water when you cross the border a Coast guard boat drives up to you. You can either try outrun the boat and you receive a 3 star wanted level. If you stop for it the procedure is the same as an on land border crossing

In the air: If you fly over the border when your not on a mission you receive a 3 star wanted level which you can lose.

Situations: Here are the different situations for crossing the border

Going from the USA to Mexico: If you are going from the USA to Mexico you can just drive right through without having to stop at a checkpoint. If you are on water this is the same. The crossing is free

Going from Mexico to USA: If you are coming from Mexico into the USA you must stop at the checkpoint or for the Coast Guard boat. They Charge you $20 And the police search you or your car/boat. While they are searching if you have any weapons/drugs or Illegal immigrants (Coyote missions) it will open a mini game where you have to press the corresponding buttons on the screen at the right time. If you are successful you are charged $20 and you get to cross the border. If you fail you are Fined a percentage of your money fail any mission you are currently on and respawn at the nearest police stations on the Mexican side of the border.

You don't seems to have a weapons list. If you need help on that, please PM me for any sort of suggestions or look thru my thread for some inspiration.

The language barrier should not be a problem in ANY game, so long as the nations in question use the Roman alphabet. Given that GTA is played mostly in the US, it would be logical just to make everybody speak English and make all writing in English. It's not that hard, you can just pretend it's Spanish/French/Norwegian. You could even do the same thing with Russian and China's sh*tty character system, or Arabic. It's called "suspension of disbelief".

Other than that, it's a fairly good idea.

The Lolwut Pear

It is a pretty good idea, but 2 things:

The map sucks ass, the streets are just, well, overlapping lines made in Paint.

You didn't bother taking time with your vehicle list at all, not even bothering to make new vehicles, you simply copied the list of vehicles from GTA San Andreas, the FBI Truck is even there (A beta vehicle cut from GTA SA).

The FBI truck is in mine. and i havent added any new vehicles because i dont see any reason to GTA San Andreas had a huge vehicle list. And i think that is enough.

How else are you supposed to make a map?

there is no real representation of residential neighborhood or downtown. it just looks like a bunch of diagonal line placed in random directions with no thought whatsoever. it dosent even seem like you have on-ramps and off-ramps to get off the highway

Paint is a powerful tool, much more than it seems at first glance, but as NinjaWJ said, you just scattered lines randomly. Look at those intersections. At least, it looks like it was random.

And Seriously, the FBI Truck is yours?

It's just another thing that makes it obvious that you copied the vehicle list.

I don't have anything against thsi idea, but seriously, just admit you were lazy.

I did follow the map making template like that and if you cant use paint and draw lines for the streets what else are you supposed to use?. And when i was looking at the san andreas vehicle list i saw the FBI truck in the "not in game" (or something like that cant remember exactly what it was) section and thought it would be a good vehicle to keep. And i did make changes to it. i changed the TRAM to trolley for the San Carlos trolley system and took out some of the RC vehicles. So i did make changes to the list. but it mostly stayed the same because i liked the SA vehicle list. And no one in their right mind would sit down and Write all of their own original vehicles it would be an unnecessary waste of time when you could just use the list from another game. So im not lazy just using my head.
