meson1
The three games, GTA:IV, TLaD and TBoGT,5 each have different emphasis to the graphics (colour pallet, grain, etc) to suit the mood of each respective game. GTA:IV has more muted, autumnal colours to suit the sombre mood of the story. TLaD has a grainier feel to go with the grittier plotline. TBoGT has cleaner and brighter feel to go with the glitz of the nightclub scene. Thus the graphics are not necessarily better or worse. Rather it is a creative decision on the part of Rockstar. massrcor
They took off the 'Distance Blur' in BoGT. So when you look out to the distance it's really clear. But in IV and TLaD, when you view things from a distance, there's a blur applied. So BoGT actually does, in a way, have "better" graphics.
Chimpso
You mean that annoying grain thing from TLAD? I hated that, so I turned it off. Despite everything, the minimum specs for all three games are the same.

No that's the 'Noise Effect,' I was talking at the blur that's applied to objects at a really far distance. I also turn the 'Noise Effect' off btw. WaXT
I have EFLC. But I do not have GTAIV (lol). But I see allot of videos in YouTube and I think TBoGT has the better graphics. I wanna test GTA IV tho.. lol.

Mr.Moffat
What the hell was that noise effect all about? It looked more like static interference than a visual style. Its meant to give the picture a dirty, rough and gritty look. It's common enough trick, games such as silent hill use to great effect to enhance atmosphere Im very surprised at the amount of people who don't know what a noise filter is, Im sure I remember a topic on a diff forum a while back about someone who didi'nt know what the noise effect was and was ranting about how his game was broken and what a sh*tty port the game was cause it looked fuzzy( I think in the end he even returned it and bought another copy ) I like how a simple filter effect can change the mood and atmosphere of all 3 stories in GTAIV, and the fact that the BOGT's Filter makes the graphics look better is a compliment to the graphics of a 2 year old game! It always bugged me when idiots with no understanding of viedo game development, thought the graphics were sh*t casue they didi'nt look the same as CODMW2 On a top of the line PC Btw, People always complain bout the Blur effect in GTAIV, IM on Ps3, playing on A SD LCD Tv and in the option menu there is the option to turn off the flicker filter, when i do this it seems to get rid of the blur effect completly. So wats the prob?? (im curious)

Dominico
For me it's just some resource-eater. Had to import settings so I could get better framerate at cost of quality.
