joerox135
Ok so i recently bought a new Dell studio XPS 16 last month and intalled GTA IV on it. It was running GREAT! I had an average of about 38 FPS with textures set to medium, and everything under that set to low, filtering set to antrioscopic x16. Some how, now it runs like complete crap. I get a framrate of about 17fps (according to benchmark) and it lags like no other. I don't know how it started doing this. It started lagging after I had saved a game, and closed the game. Then I restarted the game a little while later to continue on and it was all of the sudden laggy. Plz help! Specs are: Intel core i7 720Q @ 1.60Ghz rated at 2.8Ghz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730, 4mb of DDR3 ram.
anus
It's possible that your HDD is fragmented. Try defragmenting with something like UltimateDefrag.
joerox135
I think i solved the problem. I re-rated my systems's hardware and now it runs fine.
