Kaothel
So I just had to get a new vga cable and when I first put it in I could run gta and play it fine. I turned off my computer for the night and in the morning when i turned it back on the resolution was all different. So I just switched it back to normal and went to play gta again and got the message "Signal is not compatible with this input." It kinda looks like the message is coming form the t.v. though, I have a Sharp Aquos. I can hear the audio from game as well and can esc out of it and it goes back to my desktop. Every other game I play doesnt have this problem. I don't know for sure that its coming from the t.v. but every time it happens the t.v. input display comes up and the bottom says "Video : --" Anyone have the same problem and know how to fix it? Kaothel
Tried it and it still is saying the same thing. I'm just going to try reinstalling the game to see if that works.

mkey82
Try running GTAIV in safemode, there is a shortcut in start menu GTAIV entry.
