Azamat4
I've been playing GTA4 multiplayer for a week now. Today I took a ride in someone's heli. He started shooting players and I noticed that his miniguns had a higher fire rate. Afterwars I got into a dogfight, and the enemy's miniguns sounded exactly the same. He was fireing with 4 miniguns while I have always been fireing with 2. Is this the chopper's secondary fire? I never thought about it, but this secondary fire has apparently never worked for me. I started giving it other buttons, but none of them work. The idea of always having to use weaker guns pisses me off. Anyone got a clue what this is? Is it a bug that has been solved earlier? Azamat4
I checked again. What I said about 2 miniguns fireing is wrong. I do fire 4 guns but I still keep hearing a WAY higher fire rate from other choppers.
ddyoung
so you fire more than others? it might just be more than one chopper firing at the same time or something messed up with your sound system
Azamat4
so you fire more than others? no, others fire 'more' than me it might just be more than one chopper firing at the same time definitely not. sometimes i can hear it clearly coming from 1 chopper or something messed up with your sound system I hope so... Drift_91
The gun's take a second or two to spin up to full fire-rate. And the other chopper might just sound like it's firing faster because of the distance your hearing it from. You might want to ask the other pilots if thier using any tricks, one might be nice enough to tell you; Also if your playing on PC they could be using hacks. I'll try to get into a fight with a couple of other Ani's, see if I notice anything about their fire-rate. Now where'd I put that cheat-sheet... Drift_91
Wouldn't fire thier main-guns... I must have shot down over 20 of them and they kept turning sideways and someone would fire a gun (mounted turret?) out the door. On one I managed to shoot both gunners without shooting down the helo itself, the pilot just ran away... And my bad, it fires at full speed the instant you hit the left bumper (or L1 for you PS3 users). Edit: The gunners have poor acuracy, just keep your distance and they hit like once every 1,000 shots. Edited August 16, 2010 by Drift_91
Turbo Lag
It isn't a glitch, it's a bug, when you shoot the guns on your end, they appear very slow, however once you view somebody else shooting, it appears that they are shooting quickly, when they really aren't. Everybody else online would see you shooting fast as well.
buzbegone
The guns in EFLC, to me, feel like the firerate has been reduced compared to GTAIV.
na89340qv0n34b09q340
Theres no sound glitch/bug if you were in a car in real life the outside cars would be louder and i suppose that carries on to heli's
Drift_91
Well that's only due to insulation from the firewall. With the heli most people use the external view. Although I was at one point thinking about distance; Get your friend to fire while your view is closer to their Ani than yours.
BikoNellic08
I checked again. What I said about 2 miniguns fireing is wrong. I do fire 4 guns but I still keep hearing a WAY higher fire rate from other choppers. the pitch of the firing is due to the doppler affect and the hearing and seeing of the rate of fire is partly cos of lag, like when you see someone fast-climbing doesnt look like they are climbing
