Landstalker, if you use the tables that I sent you, and quote some of the tables and coding from BUYG: Vice Edition (such as weapons, vehicles, and the Vice Gangs), & use the original BUYG: SA for quoting coding for the Liberty City gangs, that could make life a little easier for you.

 

If you want, I could go through this topic and make a list of everything that needs to be updated gangs and story count wise, seen as you sound a little spare of time.

[th][font=Arial]Rackets, Assets, and Businesses are a great way to earn your gang large sums of money, Rackets are the illegal way to earn cash while Businesses are more or less the formal and legal way to earn cash. However, they all go to the gang's cause and if the feds find them, they will be confiscated.

How to work rackets and businesses and assets is very simple, it only requires two things: a building and an asset - the asset is the only income you receive as the buildings themselves generate no income. Each Business or racket costs an initial fixed price. Upon purchasing a racket you gain one free Asset. Once you purchase a building and asset, they will be displayed in your gang's box.

All Assets cost one quarter of their racket or business's initial price. Also, if you ever want to earn more from your racket or business, then you have to buy another building. Only three rackets or businesses can be owned by a gang at one time.

Assets themselves also earn your gang money from their jobs, your gang can constantly keep these workers running, the cash flow is infinite and every week each asset will generate 10% of their cost; e.g., One Drug dealer asset costs $400, so every Sunday $40 will be distributed into that gang's cash amount. You can have a maximum of five assets to a racket or business.

Their price, depending of their skills, will go from $521.01 to $1,035.65. Hiring a Plane Pilot will go from $755 to $1,500. An Helicopter Pilot, from $633 to $1,165. An Arm Dealer, $599 to $989. An Assassin/Enforcer, $1,500 to $2,300. These guys can be used when Bounty Hunting to give a little boost to your pay. An Assassin give a boost when you decide to kill the bounty and an Enforcer give a boost when you decide to capture the bounty alive.  A Bodyguard is used to defend your Business and Racket. If you have one Racket, one of them with high skills can be enough but one of them with low skills might need a few helpers. The maximum of them by Rackets and Business is five. Depending of their skills, their price go from $655 to $3,000. A Drug Dealer, depending of his skills, can give you a discount on drugs. Their price can go from $1,000 to $2,350

Seen as whoever took the BUYG account has magically transformed into a singer/songwriter and has erased all the ratings with lyrics, there's pretty much no chance of knowing who earned what for their story.

 

What I would suggest doing is when this gets going again would be to start off the gangs effected with $2000 instead of $1000 with the extra $1000 covering what was lost when the ratings disappeared. If your feeling extra nice, you could redeem purchases/sales and let people who asked to buy things have their purchases for free

 

I don't know what you want to do about story count bonuses, but here are the story counts for this topic.

I'd just like to say, the Rackets and Businesses are pretty f*cked up. With the Casino, it costs $3500, each asset costs $1000 and the income per asset is $100. You gain the money per asset every Sunday, so it'd take 35 weeks to just get the money back for purchasing the casino. I think that the number of assets that the business comes with is increased to 10. Then it'd only take 4 weeks to pay back the casino.

Depends on which gangs were pitted against each other I guess. My storyline runs in 1986 so I wouldn't really be able to think of anything if I were picked to go to war with someone who runs a storyline taking place at the time of San Andreas or III. It's a nice idea though.

As well, my storyline will either run in 1975 or 1994, so I don't think anyone else is around then.

 

Oh, I do have a suggestions though, how about we eliminate those unneeded gangs? It is only going to make the place look emptier which is extremely unnecessary.

 

By unneeded I mean Temple Drive, Gecko Tong etc. Keep the original and large III era gangs from all cities, but lose the extras, in the end they group up with the bigger gang.

Seen as the Temple Drive Ballas are a Ballas set, if the Ballas were full, the leader could choose to set up the Temple Drives, or the Rollin' Heights, or whatever. The same goes for Grove Street and Seville Boulevard etc.
