I'm DrScot and most of my contributions to this forum have been in the V? section, but while browsing this one I found an absence of a topic designed to give ratings and descriptions of new movies. please feel free to post general related movie talk and debates about the rating and such here, and feel free to post your own movie reviews. Before I start I would like to show you the rating system and how each film will be layed out. here is the basic rating system, which I have made by picking quotes from popular media: * - Aww man, this is F*B*R [saving Private Ryan] ** - I'm gonna be ok! [Resovoir Dogs] *** - Maybe I won't have to kill after all [Armaggedon] **** - The Winchester? [shaun of the Dead] ***** - Out F*cking Standing Marines! [CoD WaW] Ok! Now thats done, I will show you the format in which each movie will be layed out in, and if you want to suggest one to be added to the list, I would like you to suggest it in this format: Name: ........ Main Actor/Actress: [if not out yet] U.S. Release Date:....... U.K. Release Date:....... Description:........ Personal Comment:....... Rating:....... Tagline:..... Ok! Here I go: Name: Valkyrie Main Actor/Actress': Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy and Eddie Izzard This movie has been released in both the US and the UK Description: Based on actual avents, Valkyrie is a filmn about the plot to assasinate Hitler. With tom cruise playing the Protagonist of the film, a high ranking Nazi Official who Attempts to take Hitler's life, and who in the end, gets shot, along with all the other officers and officials, at the Nuremburg Trials . However, the plot to assasinate Hitler unfurls during the height of World War 2, leaving the officers in the conspiricy in a difficult Position. Personal Comment: although in the rating i made it sound good, it really isn't that much of a good film in my opinion. with a lack of action and no real plot, exept the fact that they try to kill Hitler, it is probably one of the worse film released in 2009. Rating: *** - Maybe I won't have to kill after all [Armaggedon] Tagline: Many saw evil, they fought to change it Name: Inception Main Actor/Actress': Leonardo Di Caprio, Tom Hardy ,Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page UK Realease Date: 26 July 2010 Description: In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job till date, Inception. Personal Comment: I managed to pick up a copy of this in China, where it is out of the cinemas. I am not going to give much away, but I will say this is one of the best 2010 films, and if you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend you do! Rating: ***** - Out F*cking Standing Marines! Sure, people don't always do what's expected of them, but what makes you think they will here? Besides, most of the users of this forum are about as intelligent as a bag of dry sh*t, so the reviews, if they actually manage to follow your structure, will look a lot like this: Name: SCARFACE!!! Main Actor: Al Pashino US Release Date: 80s! UK Release Date: also 80s lol Description: tonny montanna is a bad ass dude fro mcuva who just wants two make the most of his self in america Personal Comment: this movie rules best movie of all time Tagline: da world is urs!!! It's still open for people to submit their reviews, so it could very well surprise me and work out for the best. If I get time, I might pop something serious up myself.
