Claudester
Hello I was wondering if there is any way to change the data in GTA 3 so that there is lots of peds and cars on the streets at all times, and is there a way to increase the number of police that come after you? becasue at times it feels quite dead it seems, I am not sure how to use Cleo or anything and doesent install on my 64 bit vista anyway, is there any way via notepad? Any help would be great! Thanks edit: by the way I have done a search but most of it pertains to SA

MW_29
there is a mod by which you can adjust all trafic (cars and peds) in game ...but it is for VC, made by AK73 as i remember, named VC:Traffic

MW_29
hmm any version for gta 3 by chance? or can i modify any thing in notepad? not sure, vc engine is very simillar to gta3 ones, ask author of this tool if he tried port it to gta3, meanwhile this http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=2160 i was talking about to config this to your likes the easiest way is exactly notepad... but its still for VC

MW_29
thanks for explaning how it can be done in notepad, atleast i know that but where would i find the peds/vechile density in my gta 3 files? you won't ;P it is "hardcoded" as for you right now. Those values are scripted into .exe and can be touched by external .asi file just as VC:Traffic mod does, it is loaded on custom .cfg settings into memory just before game starts when you execute it. So this kinda memory "hacking" if i even can call it this way, i mean via .asi file ...well to be honest, as far as there is no such a mod for gta3, would be just headache, ...advanced and experienced programmer would be suitable up to the task, ...as i wrote ask author - AK73, maybe he could try to port this mod for gta3 but i honestly doubt bcz it would take SOME time but you can try ocf, so better ask him maybe theres a lil chance Edit.: And previously i was talking about editing .cfg file of the VC:Traffic MOD, ...there are no such files in game dir in which those thing are, so as i wrote above... Claudester
I downloaded the Sanny Builder and found the following sets of code using the search tool for GTA 3 mode 01EB: set_car_density_to 0.0 03C7: unknown_maby_cops_density 0.5 0156: set_zone_ped_density 'PARK' 1 0 03DE: set_pedestrians_density_multiplier_to 0.0 These seem to be it! What do I do now can i edit them at all? Or something? I ve asked AK I am awating a reply And how can I contanct oc? edit: so apparently the code that says peds density PARK is a piece of code that changes the number of peds for a certain area, now how do I use this stuff in game hmmm Edited August 12, 2010 by Claudester
