I voted No.

 

I feel that GTA will be announced in its own time rather than at one of these kind of events as it is almost too big a game to be announced at this type of thing. As I have said before on another thread about this no disrespect intended to anyone involved with Gamescom but I just don't see it being announced at one of these.

Yeah, I don't know what people are on about with that page. I don't see any R to click on or a way of seeing a list of exhibitors. I don't see shit.

Offtopic: What's all this new V business? I've been away for weeks and come back to tons of locked threads asking why another one had been locked? Anyone got a link to that original topic?

 

 

Ontopic: I doubt we will see ANYTHING about GTA V until R* have finished RDR. Yes, I know RDR was by R* San Diego and GTA is by R* North, but they don't want to take attention away from their newest game, (which is basically GTA anyway).

 

EDIT: Doesn't matter now. The topics been unlocked and I found it myself.

I have a tendency of being right. Like about the GTA IV DLC coming to PS3 and PC. Each and everyday I would go into that topic about the DLC going to PC and PS3 and kept telling of that guru person saying he's wrong and just a butt hurt M$ fanboy, and in the end I turned out to be right and he retreated of to his bridge, to strike another day.

 

And on GFAQs I also said how it would be announced before the end of January and would be releasing sometime in march. And ho ho ho I was right, except it got delayed because of some radio content that had to be edited. I mean WTF?

 

Also just so I can make another prediction(I love making predictions. It makes me feel smart) I believe Agent will get it's first trailer at Gamescon, followed by an October release date. I just hope R* kept their word on it being a 2010 release tho. I mean they've been working on Agent since 2003, maybe earlier.

Actually it took six months to design the map and only 6 more to create it. So it only took 1 year. Most of GTA IV's development time was spent on working on RAGE. With Rage locked down the next GTA will be released much soon, ie 2011. Maps take a lot less time to make when you have a team of say, 300 people working on them. I'm a novice 3DSMAX user and it will only take me an hour to two hours to make a high detailed weapon. They're professionals so imagine what they can get done in a day.

Well, they had to develop a whole new engine from scratch. VCS and LCS were the experiments. Not to mention totally new platforms. The next GTA will be on the same consoles. No way R* will wait until 2014 or some ridiculous sh*t like that.

theyre not robots. why would they announce and release their games in a certain order? theyll announce it when theyre ready.

All of the links go to the home website. So, click "English", go to "Exhibitor Search" and click "Exhibitor Search" again. Rockstar is definitely present, but that's apparently all I can find out.

So far, does it look like we'll see anything? Rockstar said they'd give us a conference after the great E3 fizzle. So I'm kind of getting impatient for them to get their act together.
