riquenunes
So, somedays ago I was browsing some russian website when I came across this mod. It adds a soft bloom, new motion blur and real time reflections. It doesn't have all ENB Series features but is surely a great alternative for users with slow computers. Some Pics: I made a mirror as I couldn't find where I got it: http://www.4shared.com/file/0ITKeYZB/ultrathing.html Extract into San Andreas main folder and press alt+f2 in game to configure. If anyone knows the name of the author I'll be more than happy putting here. EDIT: Aparently this is the original mod's page: http://plod.mooo.com/#ultrathingy And was made by Plodders, thank him guys. ikt
makes me think of this http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=303855 or sagfxlite on this: http://www.3dhole.com/gtafiles/ Hey, this makes we want to try this on SA again, I've never been able to do it properly on my old PC because it's slow. riquenunes
@Function-X-: Thanks, your info was added to the first post. @ikt: Yeah, SA GFX was great, best real time reflection mod till date IMO, shame DexX stopped working on it. lpgunit
Nice GFX hack; btw, where'd you get the RDR-style HUD?
riquenunes
It's actually NFS Undercover style: I got it from here. Scroll down the page untill you find two rar files, download the second. It comes with an Undercover like tachometer too.
Gramps
Nice find on that NFS Undercover HUD. I might use that one Not very fond of the speedo though, its not even on the left hand side of the screen, its in the middle ! I will have to try UltraThing later, I can't run ENB on my 8500GT with all my HQ texture mods. Even just colour correction on ENB rapes my FPS, and thats all I'm really after at the moment, as most my cars have there own reflection. Hopefully UltraThing is lighter on resources than ENB I've even searched around for low ENB settings, and it still lags on my PC.
lpgunit
It isn't as feature-rich as ENB, as H3NR1QU3 said, but the reflections are much better in my opinion, as ENB seemed to be reflecting things in screen-space, mirroring even the HUD. The only thing that I would like to add is some colour toning/correction and it'll be as pretty as sh*t. Oh, and here's a test of my Tatra with UT reflections kicked in:
NVT90
I have a test with this, but why I only can see the bloom, I active the reflection but nothing happen
Weirdo.
Yeah, SA GFX was great, best real time reflection mod till date IMO It doesn't use real-time reflections, it's just a texture of an alley. (Not that it would, anyways.)

(Not that it would, anyways.) Actually, there is a version that does realtime reflections: It creates a cubemap of everything [exept for the sky and cars] around the car you're in, and displays it on the car, updates every frame. You can even see a few feet behind you. Watching peds behind you in the reflections is possible. have sum reflection: Edited August 17, 2010 by ikt

lpgunit
It also doesn't work in my case. I did manage to enable it, but the plugin's playing tricks on me and won't let me turn the refs on again. Oh, and nice work with teh realtime cubes, Dexx. Does it have a performance penalty, judging from the fact that it has to generate cube textures every time? Not if you're not a retard and do not change the reflection cubemap resolution to 2048*2048 256*256 does the job better than IV on the consoles. Also, DeXX, if you remember me saying something like this: "GTA IV's reflection uses the back of the camera" I meant: GTA IV's reflection system creates a cubemap around the camera (yes, the camera, not an object, but the camera) and displays it on objects. If R* would enable ped/cars in reflections, it would suck balls because everything would be displaced. DeXX' system is much better at this. I think, you're wrong, GTA IV use WDD to making a reflection. Quality of them is determined by a bit precision (Boris say that to me).
DexX
According to Wolfgang Engel, a former senior graphics programmer for the Rockstar Core Technology group, IV uses paraboloid maps for reflections. You can run IV under PIX (requires Directx sdk) and dump all the textures in use for a given frame, and view the reflections as they were at that time. There are multiple reflection images in use (not one) for multiple locations (not around the camera).

Rider916
but ther's a bug for this mod, if ya got a wheel mod with reflection txd, the mod will not show it
ICy92
It's cool but it doesn't work on replays.
cj360
I wish you could tweak it a liitle bit I would like a liitle bloom, the amount it has is blinding. That and maybe increase the reflection amount a bit. Other than that to its creator has its a ALOT nicer to run on my acer than ENB.

Gramps
Just tried UltraThing.. Whilst it did look good, I had the blue window title bar up the top always; and I couldn't use Xfire whilst using UltraThing, so can check the frame rate.
