Slingaa
Hey guys, this is my very first sig, which I created in Paint.NET. It's in my sig space. I did it completely on my own, I've never read a GFX tutorial in my life. xP Constructive criticism only please, don't go saying 'anyone can slap text on an image,' like I've had said to me on an another forum. Thanks.
txdeditor
Well I'd like to say what you told not to say. I don't think this is really worth a topic. If you want criticism, here you go: First of all, font is bad, firstly because it doesn't fit the image, secondly because I can't read the first word "image", or what? Second, colours are bad, really, They are too flashy, and they make the words hard to read. You might think that not reading tutorials and learning everything on your own is cool, but it's not, you totaly should read some of them just to improve. Slingaa
How's this? Edited August 10, 2010 by Slingaa
SmC12
Well, for a very first sig all on your own, it's not bad. But i agree with what was said about the font colour, it just doesn't look very good against the background. I made my first sig in Paint.Net as well, quite a long time ago, i still have it right now actually. I don't know why i haven't changed it yet lmao. I would watch the video that was posted and get GIMP. It's basically a free photoshop. It IS much more advanced and complicated than Paint.Net but believe me once you learn it, the stuff you will be able to do is amazing! And learning it does help. I had that problem a while ago by thinking that i didn't need tuts and i could do it on my own, and yeah i managed to make a decent sig... but then when i finally learned how to use it properly and moved to GIMP, i can create anything i want, from a simple sig, to improving a photo or even some 3Dish graphics. So i would highly recommend GIMP, it will give you all the things you need without having to pay whatever amount it is for photoshop. But like i said, for a first sig on your own, it's not bad. But you can definately improve, ...and it will improve but only if you learn it first. Edited August 10, 2010 by SmC12

Narcis_speed6
You don't need to read a bunch of tutorials to make a sig, i usually have allot of designs in my mind and when people requests i know exactly what they want.
ghost of delete key
The image is squashed. Dude looks like someone stepped on a leprechaun with a mic. Instead of resizing the image to force it into a certain dimension, crop it instead. "I can just imagine him driving off the edge of a cliff like Thelma & Louise, playing his Q:13 mix at full volume, crying into a bottle." - Craig
