WhiteRex
TommyMufc-Champs so you think Tommy Vercetti, Carl Johnson, and Niko Bellic are very hot, so you like them because of it? I thought that man didn't care if the videogame character is ugly (Claude isn't ugly, but it's your (bad) opinion, so ok ). I like the way he walks, is very sexy I don't like the way Tommy Vercetti walks, even when I loved Tommy I didn't liked his walk style! I love that 50's hair! Is very sexy! But Claude's hair is more modern Tommy's walk style is cooler, pretty chill, unlike Claude. Tommy's fighting style is better, he does all those roundhouse kicks and sh*t. And what personality are you tlaking about? CLaude didnt have any personality in GTA3, he just starts mission, boss gives instructions and he walks away. Tommy did all by him self, not counting Lance, he actually was thinking before doing some missions. CJ, he desperatly wanted his brother out of prison, so he did what ever he could. Niko, many missions he did by him self, he decided what to do. Edited August 14, 2010 by DimitriRUS
cidamelo
Tommy running is the weirdest thing I've seen, he shakes his head side to side, is weird Claude's personality is being laid-down, cool, be in control, and be focus He doesn't let emotions to take him down And Claude is a competent person, he does what we want without complain, he'd be a great husband

cidamelo
He isn't mute. Rockstar said he is a man of few words, not of no words. He just don't spend his time talking foolish. There's a brazilian proverb which says "Talk Is Silver, No Talk Is Gold" and "God Gave You Only One Mouth And Two Ears", so we can conclude it's better to hear than talk. Claude has a cool style, and he's laid down . And even he was a mute, why can't a mute be cool . He can tell people to go to f*ck!! He show his middle finger, haven't you seen that ? Claude don't want to be "The Godfather" like Tommy Vercetti did. He's too cool for it He wanted to take a revenge on his former girlfriend, Catalina Vialpando, and he could take his revenge by doing those missions. Imagine the great husband he would be "Claude, go buy some food", "Claude, go buy some cigarettes", "Claude, scratch my back" He could reach his final objective, so I don't think he was just used by others. He just wasn't a complaining prick

Dark_side646
People that don't complain look spineless. Complaining is sometimes good. You can't let everyone manipulate you in your life. Word. Well spoken. I always respected Tommy and, I know I'm the rare exception here but, even CJ for complaining if they didn't like something. It shows you have a sense of pride and self-respect and also the gutts to voice your opinion if you think your self-esteem has been hurt. However, almost everyone here seems to dismiss CJ's complaining as him being a whiny little wuss. Some people also hate Tommy for this attitude considering him an angry hot-headed maniac. Our old friend from back in the day for example, if you know who I mean. Anyways, I think I might know how she's gonna reply to you. She might either claim that Claude is too cool to be manipulated or that he does have a backbone but he is too cool to show it or even that Claude is too cool to have a backbone. What we're witnessing here is an excellent example of unconditional love. Even if Claude was revealed by R* to actually wear a wig, have a fake eye, several teeth missing(he never opens his mouth anyways) and with both his legs being prosthetics, moving around in a wheelchair when no one is looking, she'd still love him. Even if she actually sees him like this. The reason might be as simple as Claude being to cool to look good. Don't go hysterical on me for this, cidamelo. Its just a hypothesis being only as true as Tommy being homo. Edited August 18, 2010 by Dark_side646
Redketman
Probably Catalina because she is a quite annoying antagonist because of her attitude. I didn't really like Misty either. She looked weird and she didn't do much in the game.

Algonquin Assassin
Claude. I know some people like the "mystery" that surrounds him, but it's not for me. I agree with what others have said. Sometimes complaining isn't necessarily a bad thing. Claude didn't take charge at all. All he done was take order after order. It's one of the reasons why I don't really like the GTA III story. The supporting characters contributed everything, and all Claude done was obey, and be everyone's bitch.

cidamelo
Instead of Claude whine to the people who pissed him off, he KILLED them Catalina Vialpando, Salvatore Leone, Kenji Kasen...........I don't see any reason to he complain with the other people. Arsen Vitiuk
GTA III was the last game where the protagonist didn't speak. All games starting from GTA: VC featured a speakable protagonist. That makes Claude a unique character but only inside the GTA III era..... But anyway, what's so unique about being mute? Dark_side646
Typically all the protagonists kill those that piss them off. What makes Claude so much different? Probably the fact that he had to be told by other people to kill most of them . That also for their own gain, not giving a **** about whether it concerned Claude or his "revenge"? Apparently that is why Claude never got back on King Courtney for selling him out to Catalina. Because nobody told him to. Dark_side646
Which is why I said "most of them" and not "all of them". Killing Catalina was probably the only thing he ever did on his own instinct in the entire game. Every other character in the game from Mike Forrelli to Salvatore to Kenji were all killed only because he was told to kill them. I know there is a saying called "Speech is silver. Silence is gold." But there is also a saying called "Actions speak louder than words." Claude didn't need to open his mouth and shout to voice his displeasure when Kenji and Ray insulted him or when Maria called him "Fido"(aka lapdog). A hard slap, a punch to the face or even a hard kick to the gutt could have been enough to show that the guy had a spine and a sense of self-respect. Unlike CJ, Claude had nothing to loose. Especially in Ray's case, who never received any other form of damage like Kenji and Maria did. Instead, he just took all the crap they threw at him and even did what they told him to do in those missions. To me, that seems less like a badass that takes crap from nobody and more like a lapdog who does all your odd chores without question no matter how badly you treated it/him. Dark_side646
Agreed. Compared to Tommy who killed most of his enemies out of his own will. Like Diaz for example. I think this applies to everybody else besides Claude. CJ's paybacks on all his enemies were also his own decisions, whether his plans involved killing them or leaving them too powerless to resist. Maybe the only exception being Catalina and Claude, only if we consider them his enemies and only if we ignore their humiliating loss to CJ in the race. I haven't played IV that much nor the Stories but I believe nobody explicitly told Niko to kill Pegorino and/or Dimitri neither did Vic need any orders to kill the Mendez brothers and Martinez. If I am not wrong, Toni killed Vincenzo on his own will too, same case for Johnny killing Billy. Edited September 12, 2010 by Dark_side646

For example how boring would a movie be if the main character remained silent for the entire time? They may reach their objective without saying a word, but that doesn't help the audience. With Claude it just felt like playing as a spineless robot.

So I don't know why he did a bad thing by no-talk. CLAUDE Sorry for replying so late. Firstly, there was no need for Claude to kill that witness for Ray or those dealers for Kenji since this took him nowhere near his revenge. Secondly, I don't think he killed Kenji for revenge because, if that were true, he should have killed Ray too. Thirdly, its not about avoiding injuries or risks, its about having some dignity. No sensible man, in Claude's place, with the slightest self-respect (and nothing to lose) will just stand there and listen to their insults. Not without any retort, let alone keep doing their work, like Claude did. Like I said before, no need to talk. Anything would do to prove that he had some dignity (a punch or kick, like I said before). The worst that could happen is them not employing Claude. As their missions didn't involve Claude's revenge, it wouldn't be a big loss. You hate Kenji for insulting Claude. Think how much Claude, himself, must have been offended at the insults of Kenji and Ray. And what did he do? Nothing. He let himself get insulted, without any retort, and still did their work for them even though it didn't concern him. To me, this is the sign of a slave, the very thing Maria implied when she called Claude "Fido". Not meaning to be rude but I find this pathetic, not cool.
