mjace72
Sorry if this has already been a topic but I just couldn't find it. First I have no mods installed and have used no cheats. My game is at over 900 days passed in it but that's not all actual gameplay as I've let the game run at times on it's own while doing other things but I have noticed something and it gets worse as the game continues to progress. The highways have become about impossible to drive on, making missions and races a lot harder than they should be. The problem here is cars spawning oddly. I've had cars spawn directly in front of me on truck missions, never a chance to act as my truck is already completely in the air and coming down on the roof. Cars seem to be spawning or just driving backwards on the highway, and then just moving back around the right way, causing the roadway to become unpassable due to the accidents. I had a car the other day drive by me with no wheels on the ground, the backend was higher in the air than the front end, as if it was flying down to the ground. Is there anything out there to fix this as it doesn't seem to be something I would think rockstar would have meant for the game. I don't mind traffic, it's just something you have to deal with but when the game is doing things like this, it's just taking the enjoyment out of the driving part of the game, something I had been enjoying in the game until now. OrionSR
It sounds like you might be having problems with the Traffic Glitch. This problem occurs on PC saves that have been played for a long time. Usually symptoms can be noticed after 150 hours of game play, but it seems to get worse as more time is accumulated on the save. There are two methods you can use that should reset all the timers in the game and this usually clears up problems with freaky traffic. The original fix is hmvartak's Online Glitch Repair Tool, but this site appears to be down at the moment online. The recent versions of the Savegame Editor v3.1 use hmvartak's repair documentation for a similar tool, so it should provide identical results. I recommend keeping a backup copy of your save no matter which tool you use, just in case. Edited August 10, 2010 by OrionSR
