xZippy
I am running the Steam version of GTA4. My specs are in my sig. Yesterday I was playing GTA4 like normal for a few hours and it just crashes out of nowhere. From that point forward, my game will crash like a minute after it starts. Sometimes it crashes before I even get a chance to load my saved game, or before I get to start a new one. Yes, Clip Capture is off. Yes, I have the latest drivers for everything. When it crashes, it will just go to a black screen and give me the classic "GTA4 has stopped working", and that's it. No other game crashes, just this one, and the episodes. Whoever helps me fix this. I will owe you big time. This is my DxDiag (64-bit). Edited August 9, 2010 by xZippy
mkey82
Well, what did you do between the last two times you played GTAIV? If you changed the drivers, then that's your answer probably.
xZippy
No. Never changed drivers.
mkey82
Try running the game in safemode (there is a shortcut in start menu) and try using memrestrict.
