Potato Boggle
Is there a way to run this in 1366x768? I'm forced to run it on the lowest resolution and it looks like sh*t.

radioman
Also, to add to what lil weasal said, you MUST change the resolution BEFORE loading a save/starting a new game, or else the game will crash/freeze..just a heads up.

I have the same problem as his have. Its not in the Options-Display-Advanced. Its the game itself. My display resolution is 1920x1080, but my SA can get max res at 1280x1024. It looks like sh*t and the ratio is like 4:3 and not 16:9.

But the newer San Andreas runs at a sh*tty resolution with no available options for 16:9.
radioman
What version of the game do you guys have? I believe the only versions that actually have the higher resolutions are V2(Retail) and V3(the Steam/D2D version). I don't think V1 has the higher resolutions available..? But, this also has something to do with your Video card-it MUST be able to support the higher resolutions.... Also, do you guys have the Retail (DVD) version or a Download version? If Downloaded, from where? Are you guys using the ORIGINAL DVD, or a NO-DVD crack?
lil weasel
something else to consider. THIS game is NOT Pretty. It is designed to PLAY. The polygons are Crude. The Circles are a noticable series of straight lines. The hands are puppet hands, fingers fused. etc. Higher resolutions are not going to smooth these out. This game will never look as good as IV. Examine the Screen Saves of this game Not the artists renditions (art work). This is a Playable game, I repeat myself, Not a pretty game in this day and age. We have five years of new technology in rendering art in games. It would be nice if Rockstar would Redux the game with the better, newer, art but they arn't going to do it. Play it and have FUN! I drobbed the V2 in the chest for ages now since I have some models and cars to complete for SA and uses the SnowFx and New Great Effects mods. So V2 is actually no use for me. But its kinda fishy. I know it would make SA not smoother but I run GTA4 @ medium/high settings. And SA never slows down. The video is nVidia 9600M GT And another problem, SA display looks stretched. It is not a problemv for me but I just only want to know how this happen.
radioman
If you're Video card supports the higher resolutions(and since you have an Nvidia 9600 I don't see why it wouldn't), then you need to either use the V2 copy, or use the official patch by Rockstar Games to make your V1 game a V1.1(both ways will restrict(not eliminate) modding, as I have V2 and still can use pretty much all mods except .img ones, but, those are pretty much the only two choices to get the higher resolutions i'm afraid... About the screen looking stretched, Do you have the Widescreen setting turned ON? If so, try turning it OFF and that should fix that problem... IVSA_Guy
No, I always set Widescreen off. Anyway, the SADisplay.asi did the job. Now I can set it as 16:9 like 1280x720, 1366x768 and 1920x1080. Absoluteley no more jaggies with 3x AA
