Problem! :(

Alright i am having a modding problem and i don't know what to do about it, so i am turning to the people here in hopes to fix this because GTA SA without mods is getting boring.

 

First, let me state that i purchased and downloaded the game on steam. So i don't know if that could be the problem, altho it has all the reg files, just instead of in a rockstar games folder, it's in the steam folder. So that appears to be normal to me. I am not sure if that would keep me from modding it, if it does, i will get my money back one way or another.

 

Second, the problem is this: I downloaded the GGMM tool and did EXACTLY as the instructions said. Which was to extract the files into the same folder as the GTA SA.exe file. But then it tells me something about "Click help on program and set association to .ggm files. First of all i never seen a "help" button. So can anyone explain this to me? And everytime i try to run it since i can figure out what that meant, it tells me i need to read the txt file about installing it.

 

So i tried a alternate route. I downloaded the GTA SA IMG thing. No not sami, some other one. Each time i replaced the current vehicle files with the new modded car file, GTA SA would not load at all. It'd show it in my processes when i click the ctrl alt dlt. But it won't load. This is about the 4th time i have spent 3 hours redownloading the game and it's starting to p*ss me off. So can someone please for the love of god, tell me what i can do?

Did you not notice that the middle MENU choice says "MODDING"?

 

Anyway.... Downloaded games are Version 3, Which according to previous posts on the Forums IS NOT Modable, unless I missed something.

Relax. Please don't resort to name calling. TankitMan, it's partly your fault for not noticing the header at the top of the page that says "Modding questions belong in the modding forums!" It's there for a good reason.
