timothy__tt
My SA weapons sounds are missing after I used SAAT Gui 1.0... I tried replacing the audio files with the backed up ones but it still fails... All the other sounds are still there, bullet hits target, BOOM, all but the shooting sound. And when I go out of safehouse, the game crashes. If I spawn let's say, CJ's garage at SF, my game crashes also. Like I said, I tried to replace my files, but game still crashes. I definitely believe that this is a sound problem. Please, gurus out there, help me! I tried everything I know... Damn sounds... [EDIT] OS: Window Vista Video/graphic card:GeForce 9200M GS Processor: Intel Core 2Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz 2.27 GHz (I don't know what ANY of those means ) RAM: 3.00 GB I did install some mods, but they did not, repeat, DID NOT interfere with my game. lil weasel
first Delete the GTA_SA.set file., reboot, and play. If problem still there. Strip the entire game (Including Mods.) and reinstall. PRE-TROUBLE-SHOOTING QUESTIONS: Before going too far, as a lot of time is wasted on trying to fix a no-fix situation: Are you playing the game with the Original DVD in the Drive? You are not trying to use a No-CD program or crack. If you Downloaded your game: is it from other than Direct2Drive or SteamPower.com? UNINSTALL/install: VISTA: If you're on Vista, you'll need to do this: 1) Uninstall SA. 2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder. 5) Reboot. 6) Reinstall SA. If the game plays without any mods your problem is solved. If it doesn't play with mods you have to go to the Modding Forum for help.
