You play a 21 year old male called Dave Madinson. About 1.85m tall, thin posture and usually wearing simple and cheap rags. He never had any real friends, his dad whas an abusive alcoholic and you're mother died due to an overdose when Dave whas at the age of 9. He never lived to good life, and his personalety and social skills had turned for the worse.
He's a drop out, a good for nothing lazy guy that usually can be found on the streets harassing people. Doing small criminal acts like pickpocketing and stealing goods from small downtown shops to eventually sell them on the streets for less money then the original retail price used to be. You're every day small time criminal.

One day he figures out its time to go a step further and plans on robbing one of the shops he used to steal small goods from. Once geared up he go's to the store he had in mind, walks around a bit at first but a short while after he collects all his courage, walks to the counter, grabs the knife he brought and threatens the cashier. Suddenly out of nowhere Dave receives a massive blow to the head and go's down...

Once waking up, he finds himself in a musky old basement, tied to a chair. It turns out he tried to rob the store and cover from the Scottish McCauley crime family. And here the adventure begins. Follow Dave as he climbs up the family crime ladder and become's one of the greatest mobsters ever known.

Like the topic title says, it's a total conversion. This includes the weapons, and main characters. There will be less weapons or at least for now to keep it a bit low scale. Clothing will be turned back to the Grand Theft Auto : Vice city sorta style for the same reasons. There's some new features I got on paper, but I don't want to give those out until I'm sure they would work in game.. thats something for the coder to decide. (Which I don't have yet, don't need one yet either because there is no telling if this mod will ever survive at such a early stage)
As for now there is only me, since I want to get a big enough part of modeling done. And no I'm not being cocky wanting to do the modeling myself, I just want to keep one style. Yes I know there's teams in game company's but I prefer this way atm so no needs to pm.

Brass knuckles.
Wooden baseball bat.
Rusty bend pipe.
Old piece of wood with bolts.
Small knife.
Fire Axe.

Handguns:
Glock 17.
Colt 1911A .45.
Colt Desert Eagle.

Sub machine guns:
Mac-10
Mac-10 silenced
MP5K

Shotguns:
Sawed off shotgun.
Pump action shotgun.
Jackhammer shotgun.

Assault rifles:
AK-47.
Colt AR-15.

Long rifles:
M40A3.
Volkssturmgewehr VG.1

Thrown weapons:
Grenades.
Molotov cocktail.
Pipe-bomb.
Detonator bomb.

Like I said, I'm planning on doing the modeling on my own just to keep the looks and style the same. Also there is no need for a coder yet because there's barely anything modeled, so I don't see the use of looking for one at this moment. But then again, all of the above info has been already explained in my first post.

 

And unlike most people here, I do have all the time and patience I need to work on this project.

wouldnt matter to be tester or something or even more download the first beta, but too much futuristic stuff for the early dev it has, so yeh this will be awsome comming

Good work there Chris, it's got a very brit/europe feel to it. Is the hotel you mentioned the building in the background or is it different?

That park looks like a bright and vibrant place, is the whole town/city going to be this light or is the map going to have darker detail added later on?

Procedural objects (sa-style vegetation) will give it good detail, also the bush in the park needs to be less blocky. icon14.gif

Finally a good TC for SA.

Not like other dying fakeasses TC.

That modeling looks very nice and a nice idea to keep the SA feeling

like SA trees, flowers and grass.

Looks really nice, good job. The grass is a little too green imo, I think it'll look better if the saturation was a little lower.

    Thanks lol.gif The building in the back is indeed the hotel, it's not to big since Greensville won't be a really big town. Like I also said in the first post, it's a small town for the rich and wealthy hence the reason why it's clean. This also means that there will be darker parts made as well(docks, downtown etc) I might add a chamfer to the edges of the bush to give it a some what rounded look.

Actually I don't, It's something I did think about but just couldn't be bothered to do turn.gif

I do have enough reference picture's of buildings and ways they are build, also I got the story with locations which i can also base the surrounding on.

A small update this time, got the base of the hotel done today. Still needs some stuff on the roof, fire escapes other small details around.

This is looking really good chris especially the textures and the way you map your objects, very details oriented, keep it up.
