No More Story Missions

Hi all,

My GTA 4 game stuck at 60.31% and the Last Mission i did was Diamonds are a Girls best Friend, after that i receive no call from any character and when i see stats, i have completed all characters missions and it show 100% except Roman mission which is at 73.33% and Jimmy Pegrino mission 50.00%, no phone calls nothing and played games for hours but still no calls and no progress in the game.....please help......please give me some idea what needs to be done or where i went wrong in the game.....i want to complete at least the story mission of this game.......so please help members.

My problem is not solved, i have checked all my emails and done all jacobs drug delivery mission and brucie car delivery mission by checking emails, but still no calls from any character from the game and still Roman mission is at 73.33% and Pegrino mission at 50.00%, so now what should be done, do anybody have the Rockstar games or the main technical team of GTA 4 email id or number, so that i can call them & they might be able to solve my problem.

Did you turn the Sleep Mode on?

Open the phone and it should say.

What 4l3k54 says is the most likely explantion.

If Roman's missions stat is at 73.33% it is likely that you have not yet completed "Hostile Negotiation" (this would also explain why you have not completed JP's missions as it is a pre-requsite for "A Weekend at Florian's", which leads to "Pest Control").

 

"Hostile Negotiation" is triggered by the second of two phone calls from Mallorie. If she hasn't called yet, most likely you haven't completed "Photo Shoot" for Playboy X (from what you've said you must have done the other pre-requisite "Have a Heart" to unlock Packie's missions and Alderney). If this all fits with what you've done so far, I'd recommend you try calling Playboy X if his icon isn't on the map.

Is your phone message box full? If so delete all the messages you have in there and you should get a message from Phil to carry on with the Jimmy Pegorino missions.

I have the same problem. There has to be a glitch in the game. And it's f*cking bullsh*t.

 

All of my mission progress is 100%, except for Roman who's at 73.33%. I've done Weekend At Florians, all the Bernie missions, Pest Control, and Liquidize the Assets. I still get no call from UL Paper, and the last mission I did was Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend.

 

I've tried just about everything to trigger that f*cking phone call. I've stolen cars for Brucie, done Assassination missions, went on dates, shut the game off, cleared my email, and deleted text messages.

 

And before anyone thinks this is as simple as checking for Sleep Mode... it's not that. I never turned sleep mode on for like the last 20 missions I've done. I checked sleep mode when I didn't get the call, and it was off. But I even tried turning it on, then off, several times. Still nothing.

 

I've even died several times, on purpose. No call.

 

I've called Roman and UL Paper. No dice. I drove down to Firefly and still nothing.

 

Last, just as luck would have it, I did have an extra save game right before Pest Control. This save game had Weekend at Florians, all the Bernie missions, and Liquidize the Assets completed. So I loaded it, did Pest Control, and I still get no f*cking phone call. And yes, I tried all of the tricks I did before on my other save.

 

So I would gladly like someone to suggest something meaningful that has worked for them. So far I've done all of the things in this thread and the phone call isn't triggered.

 

Otherwise, damn you Rockstar. I hate some of the design decisions in this game, and the ones I hate all revolve around the f*cking cell phone. I hate if someone calls you and you go to jump, or you fall of a ledge, it will automatically hang up the phone. That is retarded and it's caused me to miss story elements as well have lose like and respect points. I also hate, on the PC version, how right-click is for aiming as well as canceling phone calls. It since the game is the most sluggishly controlled game I've ever played, I've accidentally hung up on phone calls when I go to aim my weapon. Controlling Niko on foot, aiming, gunplay, and interacting with the environment is sluggish as hell.

Ok, what the hell? I checked my stats and Bernie missions weren't showing up. Yet I somehow remember having a save file with Hating the Haters, Union Drive, and Buoys Ahead finished. And the Bernie mission icon IS NOT ON THE MAP.

I decided to go back to the Bernie mission starts. I went to Pier 45, and there was no yellow marker. Then I went to Bernie's place west of Middle Park, and there is a yellow marker. What. The. Hell? I swore I did those missions, and they icon was gone. Apparently I haven't. So I'm going to play the missions and I'll report back if I finally get that UL Paper phone call.

 

Also this guide would be wrong, as it says only Weekend at Florians is required and not any of the Berni missions:

Ok so that worked, finally

I did the bernie missions, which I know I did before. The only good explanation is that maybe I accidentally loaded a save file that didn't have them complete, but there's still no excuse for the icon to be missing on the map if the mission still needs to be done.

 

I finished the Bernie missions, Buoy Ahoy being the last, got a call from Roman to play pool, played pool, got a call from Bernie, and then I saved my game. After the save I got the call from UL Paper, and then I called Roman.then automatically called Roman, and done. I did the mission and then got the call from Pegorino. So... my game is back on track and I won't have to restart. I'm relieved.

 

So my advice to the OP: Look around the town for yellow markers at places which don't have an icon on the map. Mine was Bernie's missions. There are three yellow markers for Bernie. Two are to the west of Middle Park by about two blocks. Just drive north/south on the streets west of Middle Park and you should see the yellow marker on the east side of the street. The third marker is at Pier 45, in Fishmarket South, closest to the water.

 

And if you did those missions then the only thing I can suggest is to go back to where every single mission start is and look for a yellow marker, as perhaps the icon isn't on the map. So you're going to have to look at guides, and I suggest using IGN's guide as they mark the mission locations on a map per mission:
