Petarkco
I need to upgrade my computer as its starting to show its age. I currently have: CPU: Intel Core2 Duo 2.80GHz GPU: Nvidia Geforce 9800 1GB RAM: 3GB Motherboard: Gigabyte 945GCM-2SL OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit I want to upgrade those parts to whatever works with each other and has good value. I would also like to get a Blu Ray drive or a Blu Ray burner. My preferred site is pccasegear.com.au but any site in Australia should be fine. Remember this is for a gaming machine. Price range is at $500-700 or under.

Wolf68k
If you have Windows 7 retail version from a store then it'll have both 32 and 64 bit versions. If you have the OEM version then it'll only be either 32-bit or 63-bit

Wolf68k
Well since he'll be installing the OS fresh and clean on this new rig, at least that would be the best thing to do, it wouldn't be an issue if he has the retail version. As for the programs running 32-bit, that's not an issue either. The 64-bit Win7 will run 32-bit program just fine. Most programs and games are still 32-bit anyway but more and more are starting to offer a 64-bit version be it a different download or install process or a simple patch that adds it.
