oGeesKeeMasK Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 It just occured to me, the game is called Grand Theft Auto but CJ can't break into any locked cars, he can only do jacc moves, which leads me to wonder if carjacking falls into the category of "grand theft auto", which I don't think it does, in order for "grand theft auto" to apply I think the car would have to be parked and unoccupied Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Defined as the Taking of someone else's property against their will with the Intent of permanently depriving them of the use of said property. The Value of the property is used by each Jurisdiction to determine if the crime is Petty Theft (usually a misdemeanor) or Grand Theft (a felony). In some Jurisdictions the Tag, Auto, is used to more closely define the crime. And it sounds great "Grand Theft, Auto", doesn't it? I think the game lacks some fun levels by not being able to sell the cars to Chop Shops or "Used Car Dealers." (The export missions are as close as we get.)
