Sleepy93HUN
what a pity the pcsx2 is wrong for emulation, because when i start the GTAVCS on PCSX2... load the loadscreens loaded and black screen and nothing else
QwertyAAA
what a pity the pcsx2 is wrong for emulation, because when i start the GTAVCS on PCSX2... load the loadscreens loaded and black screen and nothing else No, no, no, no. You misunderstand me. It's possible to do, there are tools that allow one to convert models and textures directly from Vice City Stories, and the scripts can be reasonably well decompiled through Sanny Builder, HOWEVER, none of them are optimized for direct transfer to other GTA games - the formats always change slightly, there are always some graphical glitches, and some of the scripts might be somewhat differently written. It might not seem like much, but with the thousands of models and textures, optimizing every one of them by hand becomes a pain to say the least. And there's always a catch: Even if you convert all of the files and create a well-running, reasonably complete version of Vice City Stories based on the San Andreas engine (though they don't use the same engine, so a lot of concessions or additions would have to be made), you won't be able to release it, because all of the work on actually making the game was done by Rockstar. GritEngine
It's not happening man. The people who are modding this game are either A: Liars or B: just not going to share "We don't want endless conversions" is their half-assed reason for sh*tting all over this community and further destroying the open and third party feeling (gta modders community) Anyway, in this case, their reason makes sense... for one, Why do this? For 2, don't you have better things to do? For 3, have you ever heard of Unity engine? How about Grit Engine? 4: if you're using max, why don't you just update the available VC2SA maps to look like VCS? 1: they will be better quality, and 2: contrary to popular belief, no conversion has any say over it. A LC2SA mod is not owned by that converter - anyone can use it. Credit people, but do not let someone say "THATS MY MOD" because, in reality, it is NOT their mod, it is Rockstar's game ported, and also in reality, Rockstar owns every mod ever created (read the license), so, dont let them hold you back, if you have max, do some edits and do your project. They do not own it. Just be kind enough to credit that it's not possible without them - that's only fair. A bit nit picky here mate, but, why the hell did you render that? Use grab viewport, it looks a lot better than a wasted render that was screenshotted and not even saved The edits to VCS map are minimal - and people are *already doing this project* in the correct section of the forum - join them, they SUPPOSEDLY have some tools. You might find they lied (or are just greedy, as mentioned above), but either way, you'll have a team Edited August 17, 2010 by GritEngine
quasi quisling
well actually, there is a way you could play VCS on your PC. of course you would need RemoteJoy(Lite) but the quality would be worse than sh*t. but you would feel that its really created for the PC since you can adjust which keys on the PSP are the ones on the keyboard so you can play with a keyboard aswell... ive tried it myself and it worked, but the quality sucked. heres a tut made by some guy... -pm89
