How i can limit the fps to 30? i need a command ? or a softwar?

You need commandlines -refreshrate 30 -framelimit 1.

my refreshrate is 60 hz and whewn i do that my monitor say : mode not supported

I use fraps to limit the FPS to 30, just by recording a video. I need to bloody do that because of the final mission on IV.

I was like tapping the spacebar like there's no tomorrow, someone said use a controller, or a PS/2 keyboard, but I don't have the former, and I cannot connect the latter to my MB. Limiting the FPS to 30 did the trick.

 

I never had this problem on my Pentium D830, but the minute I got this I7 920, It became apparent I needed to limit the FPS. Strange game

Lol, throughout that topic you never even thought that LaunchGTAIV.exe is merely the securom launcher for the actual game? GTAIV.exe is the actual game process.

So what would you say is the better performer to get a limited FPS at 30 the command line or the framerate limiter? I always seem to have a good solid 50fps but the odd dip when going thru times square does bug me so just looking for smoother gameplay like the guy above

Haha sorry, my bad. In the previous games I've used with it I always assumed it injected into the exe.

Yeah, sorry for the overreaction.

 

With these launchers you're never certain, but you need to start the launcher first anyway.
