PS one

I have a very old ps1, which dates back to 2005 in my house. Now, I am planning to buy a PSP when our sidecar is sold. Now, I have asked myself "will my PS1 play music?". Guys and Gals, if it will, please, teach me how.

yeah PS1 will play music, as long as they're burned onto a cd in the right format (ie not burnt as MP3's)

I remember mine would play normal cd's...I never tried to play the burnt ones before. But I guess now I know it can!

A cool trick that works with doom and mk3 (i dunno if it worked with other games though) while in the cd player insert a cd and it will play some of the audio tracks located on the game disc. Note this is done on the SCPH-1001 model

For some games, it worked they other way around too. Like a lot of the music was burnt on the disc in .cda format and you could play the games' music in a regular cd player (you just had to skip the first track or so, containing the game data). I guess this is also the reason why the trick AmyJones mentioned works.
