amin316
I think IV had the worst radio stations and songs .I think I only heard a song from black sabath before and I dont know who are the others in this game and also those rock stations in IV sucks . In my opinion there should more songs from famous bands and singers. for example from m.jackson , santana , enrique , madona and many more in pop--2pac, drDre , snoop dogg , 50cent and many more in rap-hiphop--opeth , sepultura ,Linkin Park , dream theater , anathema , slayer&Metallica , Soulfly and many more in rock and Metal.I hope there will be countryside roads like san andres to enjoy country musics like K-Dust radio station SA . and also I want less conversation between songs( sometimes these long time talks makes me crazy ). Another thing is your mobile phone. in IV you can select between different themes and tones, call your friends and taking a picture with its camera. and now in the next game there should be a memory for each phone ( this feature needs a mobile phone store (maybe)) that allow you to buy musics from stores and listen with your phone or use its ability to listen to radio stations. And this feature needs music stores where to buy musics.that would be really useful, i mean you dont need to to listen to all musics in a certain station just because to listen to your favorite song .( and also it would be able to purchase them in internet if V support internet) (And also i want the ability to buy subs and huge speakers for your car to make all streets explode!!! ) I would tell you more about my ideas but first I want to know your opinion about music in next GTA... .. SilentSeas
The point of the wislist topic is to stop the forum from getting clogged up with threads like this. No offense but this wishlist doesn't have any original ideas.
Ash_735
I disagree on IV having the worst Radio Station choices, if you're seriously telling me you've never heard of Queen, Iggy Pop, R.E.M., Thin Lizzy, etc, and then include the many great bands from The Lost and Damned update. They just tried to go in a less commerical style since we already hear commercial and mainstream music everyday, so they dug around for unknown bands and other classics, most of the tracks on The Vibe are brilliant and TLAD version of Radio Broker is just great. I can just tell you Please compare IV songs with SA or VC and you will get the answer. and thanks for your post, everyone who comes here just say Post your topic in wishlist... .. undo
Before this is closed, I'll take the opportunity to express my sorrow about the absence of a classical music radio in GTA since Double Clef FM in LCS. I really think there should have been a classical music radio in GTA IV, and I really hope this gap will be filled in the next GTA game. There are also avid classical music listeners among GTA players! (Edit: Actually I don't see why this should be closed, there is one thread about "vehicles you want in the next gta" and it's running)

BUT the thing is, VC and SA are IN THE PAST, so Rockstar KNOW what songs are going to be classics, well loved and what would have been on Radio Rosters at the time through research. That's something they don't have for Modern Day, Radio Stations these days are mainly corporate owned, many playing the same sh*t over and over, plus New York only has a handful of varied stations itself anyway. That's why we got the likes of a Contemporary Rock station instead of an all out Classic Metal one, A Hardcore Station with bands influenced from the New York Punk era, a Jazz Station, etc. There are restrictions when trying to emulate a modern day Radio Selection in the game. However, I will admit they made a wrong choice with the DJ's, this time around, Rockstar went for ACTUAL DJ's and Musicians as themselves where as previously they got famous people but to play Characters they wrote as Mock DJ's instead, who in general provided more laughs and in my opinion, personality. cggc93
I agree with IV having the worst music ever in a videogame. Aside from Jazz station (which was excellent) and some tracks from Radio Broker and Liberty Rock Radio, songs were just sh*t. They should include at least these genres: - Jazz - classic rock - modern rock/alternative/indie - pop - reggae - talk shows - country

Tyla
Personally, I have a mixed opinion of the soundtrack in the IV games. I preferred LRR a lot more after getting the Lost & Damned, but thought some of the stations in the latter updates (Vladivostok FM in Gay Tony for instance) ended up ruined. I'm not going to complain much though as I utilize the custom soundtracks feature and play my own music. I agree with what Ash_735 said, though. Vice City was the greatest soundtrack for me because I didn't know half of the musical content that was included, being born in the 90's and all. It introduced me to a lot of the bands I listen to today, which is what I find so great about that particular soundtrack selection. Filling the stations with mainstream/popular artists and only their most famous of songs would null and void that aspect. I'd rather Rockstar dig out a lesser known song by such artists that fits in well with the tone that the game has than just pick a signature song and throw it in for commercial value. So you said VC owns the greatest radio stations because of its unknown bands but you have to know that they chose them very wisely, not like IV. I think every music they found, they put them in game(GTAIV) . there are lots of great bands that very few knows about them in rock and metal like Edge of sanity, soulfly, crossfade, graveworm, creed, shadows fall, agalloch, wasp, Opeth, static-x, nirvana, slumber, queens of the stone age and many more....these bands have at last number of good songs that very few listened to them. did you play guitar hero , some of the bands you know and some you dont but the important thing is the songs and they are chosen very wisely . I know R* team know what to do so I hope we enjoy great songs in GTAV... ..
